It's all about love and a little friendly competition, with the intention of keeping the music and vibes elevated. 

THE FIGHT- DJs compete by submitting a MOM related 15-20 min mix or remix (depending on the challenge for that month)*. These will be voted on by a rotating panel of 2 MOM Fam judges (who receive the mixes anonymously) and local MOM hosts. If your mix/remix wins every month you play every month! 

THE PRIZE- Paid prime time guest slot at MOM SF**, a set of custom MOM serato plates, MOM swag, plus winning mix/remix featured and promoted on our website and soundcloud. Remember, if your mix/remix wins every month, you play every month and claim/hold the title of
MOM FAM FAVORITE!


* This month's challenge is to submit the best 15-20 minute MOM related mix. This should be recorded live with no after production (except for maybe level adjustments). It's short notice but this month's mix is due by this Saturday March 1st and winning mixer will play their paid prime time slot on Monday March 3rd. Mixes should be sent to motownonmondays@gmail.com

**To get things interesting immediately, if you can win both March and April you get a paid slot for MOM 5yr Anniversary at THE INDEPENDENT, featured as Fam Favortite on MOM poster, plus spotlighted track on MOM Remixes Vol V, exposure on sound cloud. Plus the prizes mentioned above. 

PLEASE NOTE- If you do not live in or near San Francisco, you can still win- custom MOM serato plates, MOM swag, plus winning mix/remix featured and promoted on our website and soundcloud... but YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION to the event to collect the prize of playing at MOM SF. We will not be flying anyone out to play at this time.

MOM DJs & Events is a family of  DJs, producers, musicians and music enthusiasts that all share a passion for the convergence of soul music and dancing. We perform at and produce weekly, monthly and special events across North America. From SF to NYC, LA to Austin, Honolulu and beyond. MOM DJs represent the most spirited soul parties with a unique vibration. We gather our musical inspiration from Motown, soul, funk and disco with an emphasis on new and classic remixes/edits. Many of these remixes are originals from the family of 60+ DJs and producers worldwide. MOM DJs have been hired to play massive festivals such as Outside Lands (Feat. Stevie Wonder, Metallica, Neil Young, Jack White … ), Treasure Island Music Fest.  (Feat. Girl Talk, Public Enemy, The Presets, SBTRKT, The XX … ), Fractalize 2012  (Feat. E 40 and 50+ EDM artists) regular appearances at music halls and dance clubs e.g. Club Mighty SF, 1015 Folsom, Public Works, Regency Ballroom and The Fillmore  to name a few.
