Rising UK-talent Guy Mac makes a much-anticipated debut on Hot Creations in January with the Sonic Boom EP. Made up of three original tracks, the release acts as both Guy’s and the label’s inaugural release of 2022.

Guy discussed how the EP came to fruition, stating: “Sonic Boom was the result of a late-night studio session in lockdown 2020, experimenting with different sounds. The inspiration was to create something with the euphoric energy we were missing out on, given that clubs were shut at the time. Massive thanks to Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, and everyone at the label for the opportunity.”

The title track kicks off proceedings in an outright party fashion, as rampant kicks lay beneath up-tempo hats to set the tone. Reverberating vocals bounce alongside driving synth lines, before we’re soon graced with the stripped-back sounds of Waku Waku. Tribal-laced percussion opens into pulsing, space-like samples, whilst the enthralling chant of “waku waku” shimmers softly throughout. Rounding off the EP is Don’t Stop, another no-nonsense, late-night cut packed full of 4x4 drum patterns that perfectly encapsulates Guy’s hard-hitting, club-ready sound.

An artist making continuous strides in the house and techno space, London-based DJ and producer Guy Mac is an exponential contender for most, if not all, ‘ones to watch in 2022’ shortlists. His work has found a home on some of the industry’s best-known labels such as Sola Nauts, Under No Illusion, Armada Subjekt, Glasgow Underground, SK Recordings and more. Outside of the studio, Guy has also made a significant impact on his clubland presence, with bookings at Ministry of Sound, Egg London, ADE and Miami Music Week parties representing a handful of his most notable highlights.

It has the same great bass design that's made our other releases famous for traction. The same tough, lightweight, long-wearing nylon uppers. Same tapered heel and flared sole.
One of a long line of powerful new ideas whose time has come at Monaberry.

Er hat das gleiche großartige Bass-Design, das unsere anderen Veröffentlichungen für ihre Traktion berühmt gemacht hat. Dasselbe robuste, leichte und strapazierfähige Obermaterial aus Nylon. Dieselbe spitz zulaufende Ferse und ausgestellte Sohle.
Eine von vielen starken neuen Ideen, deren Zeit bei Monaberry gekommen ist.

Samet Gunal is set to release his latest project, Starting Something, an electrifying new EP that marks his debut on Kinetika Music. Known for his compelling releases on key labels like Innervisions, Monaberry, and Human By Default, Samet continues his creative ascent with a genre-defining collection of tracks, solidifying his influence in the electronic music landscape.

Starting Something features Gunal's collaboration with Dutch duo TWIINS, an act revered for their genre-bending sound and forward-thinking approach to electronic music. In addition to the title track, Starting Something also includes a compelling remix by Thodoris Triantafillou, a respected artist known for his evocative style and deep, melodic interpretations. Drew is a dj / mix technician: He see music as a jigsaw without an image, he can intricately fuse music together and instanly know were that piece of music will fit into the jigsaw he's building.This does not necessarily have to be house music it goes for all genres of music which makes his sets distinctive. Drew has always had a love of music but his fascination with dj mixing started in the early 80's with electro scene and the fact u could manipulate music by mixing 2 tracks together had him hooked. Which lead him to get 2 record players and a hand full of electro albums,so in the late 80's when house music came along it was a natural progression and that's why to this day his love and passion for it still runs through his veins.........
