Do you invest in crypto? A question Cryptofauna gets asked quite often when she meets fellow club kids at the function. But when it comes to her name, it's more about investigating than investing. The term stems from both biology and mythology and refers to all hidden animal life, mostly those living in the deepest oceans - so deep that many of them aren't even discovered yet.
For weeeirdos, the Berlin-based DJ used the opportunity to record a mix to frame the origin of her moniker. Accompanied by a cryptic text, for those who are open for some „weird ass deep sea poetry", as she puts it.

„This sultry, odd, sinister but warm mix might be my personal favorite so far. Never felt more like my artistic self than with this one, so a huge thanks goes out to all producers, to the ravers who keep this thing alive and to weeeirdos for having me."

Gothenburg-born DJ and producer Mohajer brings her galvanizing spirit and sophisticated cuts to the series with a 73-minute release. The Swedish veteran and key member of Fast Forward Productions has cultivated over a decade’s worth of sounds from her Berlin base and provided the soundtrack for her mp3 parties as co-founder and long-running resident, as well as for gatherings across a spate of clubs like RSO, Tresor, Berghain, Fold and Basement. Her productions play with her Persian heritage and a blend of electronic music genres to bring a fresh and uplifting take to market: a sensual and bustling mix of driving techno with a heavy focus on community building and human connection. Here the fourth episode of EWX — Transition Mix Series, a special 2-hours DJ Set, paying a tribute to the House Music spirit.

The concept behind the mix series is to present personal different musical directions or just music makes me move. It is healing to me to also dig and play different moods, it helps on having an healthy and wide perspective — I want to listen to and to believe in what makes me feel real emotions without strictly labelling them.

I often reflect on how lucky we are to have new great records every day + decades of this music available to us and how precious all of this it is. Lot of gratitude to all the artists and music lovers who continue to create, support, and keep the movement alive. We all part of it!

Transition House Mix — 004 (November 2025)

The term annex typically describes a structure joined to a main building, offering extra space or function. In this spirit, Tresor Records revives the ANNEX series with a new end-of-year collection that serves as an extension of the label and club’s output, adding to the creative life that has unfolded within Köpenicker Str. 70 over the past years.

Since the club moved in 2007, the Kraftwerk complex has been repurposed from its original use as a power station to fulfil multiple functions that bring people together to collaborate and congregate: Office, venue, club, exhibition space, and home to the Berlin Atonal festival, the Tresor Foundation, and the Academy of Subcultural Understanding. With the arrival of the Hard Wax record shop in 2023, the building now offers another way for the like-minded to come together and to share ideas in a common space.

ANNEX echoes the many roles of the building by fostering introduction, connection, and creation: all of the music within was created by individuals directly linked to Tresor: from club staff and residents to Hard Wax employees and long-time friends.

Across 28 tracks, the compilation unites artists from various backgrounds and generations, some collaborating for the first time, creating a moment in motion as Tresor heads into a new year.
