ABOUT THE EP:
This entire EP came from a single dream. All three originals came in the most vivid colors and sounds, very powerful spiritually, and rooted in the ancient foundations of mankind.
A total of NINE amazing musical journeys of the soul. You can dance or drift into the cosmos in astral flight, or both! This is a powerful journey back into time, through the cradle of civilization in India and Pakistan.

"Hindu Kush"
This song is trippy, funky, groovy, deep, and multi-dimensional. This is the heart of the EP. We journey into the heart of the Hindu Kush Mountains, seeking the source of the Indus River, seeking the beginning of history, of civilization, of our consciousness in the highest spiritual way. It feels like a really deep high from the very best Hindu Kush strain of Indica cannabis.

"Indus"
This song is the stage of the journey where we find the Indus River, water of life, source of humanity, source of the spirit. This song is heavenly, celestial, and even more transcendental than Hindu Kush. It begins with deep, droning sitar, super meditative in atmosphere, otherworldly, set to a mesmerizing tabla drum. When we encounter the pure, fast-flowing headwaters, we are filled with the mighty rush of divine water and wind from high in the mountain and high in the heavens. The groove is established with a funky sitar and bass sequence.

"Anant Bhor"
In Hindi, "Anant Bhor" means "Eternal Dawn". This is the climax, the final stage of our journey, where we have completed the circle. The mighty and loving sun has risen in the early morning. Bansuri, sitar, running water, birds singing, tabla drums setting the rhythm. The Moog synthesizer in a deep, deep, deep arpeggio, opens our souls to the circle of eternity. Beauty, gentleness, kindness, mercy. All things we need to be healed and whole.

Since the group’s inception from the eclectic underground of San Francsico’s performance art scene, Beats Antique has been notorious for making it impossible to sit still. In this modern incarnation, the musical alliance of producers David Satori and Tommy Cappel is inspired and emphasized by their collaborative partnership with world-renowned belly dance performer and music producer Zoe Jakes.
	All of this sets the scene for Beats Antique’s overtly ambitious stage show, a sensory overload conquest of the festival circuit’s most riotous events, such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Outside Lands, as well as a catalog of dates with Bassnectar and a recent run with Les Claypool. 
	Continuing the prolific start to the band’s career, (2 album and 2 EP’s in 3 years) the band are set to release their new album, Blind Threshold, on September 14, 2010 on their own Antique Records imprint. Notable features of the new release include vaporous violins and Danny Elfman-esque dementia; glitchy, laser-guided harmonica provided by Blues Traveler frontman John Popper; and 2 very different vocal tracks that range between restless pop hooks and vibrant Eastern European dance loops. All wrapped into an intricate collection of heavy beats and sub bass. 
	Beats Antique is best imagined as an innovative creature built from the cumulative heritage of the world’s music chasing its tail. However vivid that image, when a marching band groove crashes into bluesy folk chords only to be accompanied by electronic beats and Middle Eastern melodies, you’ll still be surprised. Say’s Satori, “We are excited by the ability to create a huge sound from a relatively small setup, it gives us this whole new world of musical opportunities that we’re just starting to scratch the surface of.”

Beats Antique - Egyptic

Centaurus A [ @djleo_dorantes ] is the a.k.a. of the new Leo Dorantes project. The name comes from the galaxy NGC 5128 (Centauri´s constelation). Experimentation with native sounds from all continents, including ethnic, religious, spiritual and prehispanic influences from several cultures around the world gives life to this project. Rescuing and spreading the trascendental musical tradition to fuse it with downtempo deep rhythms all along with vanguard psychedelic elements that gets you into a real state of ceremonial trance. Through music he shows the transcendence of the sounds that our ancestors used to reach a higher state of awareness and pay tribute to the gods; a real spirit manifestation. 


Aasatoma Release:

This track came to life because of the sounds that have a psychological and spiritual power in certain cultures: the mantras.

About the EP-*
Mahakali (Sanskrit: Mahākālī, Devanagari: महाकाली), is the much revered Hindu mother goddess of time, death and doomsday. 
She is the divine Goddess of the Universe in her most fearful and powerful form. She is also the consort of Mahakala, the god of consciousness, the basis of reality and existence. Mahakali in Sanskrit is etymologically the feminized variant of Mahakala or Great Time (which is interpreted also as Death), an epithet of the god Shiva in Hinduism. Kali and all her forms are the different manifestations of Mahakali. 
Mahakali's origin is contained in various Puranic and Tantric Hindu Scriptures (Shastra). In these She is variously portrayed as the Adi-Shakti-Goddess Durga, the Primeval Force of the Universe, identical with the Ultimate Reality or Brahman. She is also known as the (female) Prakriti or World as opposed to the (male) Purusha or Consciousness, or as one of three manifestations of Mahadevi Durga (The Great Goddess) that represent the three Gunas or attributes in Samkhya philosophy. In this interpretation Mahakali represents Tamas or the force of inertia. 
She is described as an abstract energy, the yoganidra of Vishnu. Brahma invokes Her and She emerges from Vishnu and He awakenes. 
She is the Goddess of time.
