In the autumn of 2025, we journeyed from the southeastern coast to the hidden landscapes of the southwest of China, completing a long tour called Sonic Pilgrimage. It was an outward expedition, connecting with the earth and exploring the possibilities of sound. The most precious gift this journey gave us was a clear conviction: Never stop the exploration of the true self. 

Now, the Year of the Crimson Horse and Blood Goat has arrived, filled with trials and transformative revelations. Time no longer feels linear, boundaries grow increasingly blurred, and the currents of the external world swirl with growing intensity, where history and prophecy tangle under grand narratives. It is the time to build spiritual arks for ourselves. 

Beginning of Spring marks the start of the solar cycle, the first strand of vitality breaking through the ice. This EP "Marisa Cinta Musica" emerges now as the "first grain", forged by our companions of Sonic Pilgrimage, Bliz Nochi & Marisa Lia, who participated the whole journey. They infused the soul of ethnic roots into a warm body woven from downtempo and indie rock.

We also invited another pioneering companion from our tour, AmuAmu, along with our longtime friends Matija & Richard Elcox and Thommie G, to create three distinctly different remixes. From varying temporal and spatial perspectives, they trace divergent yet captivating paths for this emerging energy grain, allowing sounds rooted in the earth to pulse with new dimensions of life within contemporary rhythms.

This EP is the first fruit offered after our shift from “outward journeying” to “inward rooting.” It signals that our path has entered a new chapter: from mapping the soundscapes of geography to surveying the bloodstream of civilizations; from collecting distant echoes to awakening our shared genetic memory.

💭 Were humans in the past possibly able to travel to Mars? Actually, we have not found any clear remains or direct proof. However, the conditions on the Red Planet might suggest that life was once possible there. Some people claim that there are pyramid-like structures on Mars and artifacts from a human-like species. Maybe they are just natural formations. Or perhaps they are traces of something we no longer understand. This bunch of questions is not only about science. It is also about imagination, history and what we choose to believe.

🎵 This EP is handmade by CHOMBA and is driven by downtempo and organic house elements. A characteristic bassline leads the title track “The Leftovers”, in symbiosis with a wide pad that creates a strong sense of atmosphere. Stabs and rhythmic elements move in and out, giving the track an organic and dynamic feeling. “Fermee” feels creatively free. It transports a sense of hope and trust in the process.
