Whoever said saxophones can't sound like synths? Throw a piano in there and you've got something that sounds like an EDM song if it was written by a teenage sax-addicted Bill Clinton.

Synthax

This basically happened because I wanted to do something more orchestral or 'epic' sounding but couldn't bring myself to ditch the sweet sax/piano combo quite yet.

Legacy

This one's a little similar in sound and very similar in instrumentation to Synthax, but longer and (in my opinion) more refined.

The main melody line that the piano plays over the top of everything else comes from a spontaneous duet that my friend and I played while I was giving her a lesson; I couldn't get it out of my head, so I decided to make something a bit more substantial out of it. This is definitely one of those things I made for myself, but hopefully someone else likes it too.
