A charity album on the occasion of the 30th edition of “The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity”

We work in the structures of the club scene on a daily basis. We write about music, produce, organize events. We are united by a love of music, but also a willingness to help. The idea for a charity album was born in March 2021. From word to word, after weeks, we gathered the line-up of artists who were close to our musical tastes.

Many paired artists collaborated for the first time. The album does not lack producer debuts as well as experience in this field. Everyone, without exception, agreed to take part in the project almost repeatedly, starting its implementation. The entire twenty-five (OTHK is a duo editor's note) were extremely enthusiastic about the idea, confirming our belief in the rightness of the further implementation of the assumptions made at the beginning of the plan - make everything possible by January, the beginning of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity collection and auctions.

Unlike other auctions, this one will be unique. We have prepared ONE, ONLY album piece. A real vinyl "White Raven", the production of which will never be repeated. An album that will have one owner, the only lucky one. For this purpose, we have prepared a unique cover, dedicated graphics and the white color of 12 ”discs symbolizing the eyes - an element strongly related to the theme of the jubilee 30th edition of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, that is, eyesight. This year's finals will be held under the slogan "Look at your eyes", and the fundraiser will be conducted in terms of children's ophthalmology. This year's goal of Jurek Owsiak and his fearless army is to ensure the highest standards of diagnosis and treatment of eyesight in children in Poland.

The auction of our album will take place on the website of the official partner of Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity - Allegro.pl. Not wanting to be limited only to the home yard, the album can also be auctioned in euro - which was what we wanted the most. We value the ability to reach the widest possible audience as much as the belief in collecting as much money as possible, which we will be able to add to the account of the most meritorious philanthropic foundation in the history of Poland.

It is said that it is worth helping. It doesn't matter in what form. It doesn't matter how much money is collected. One and only gesture can work wonders. That is why we hope that with our (and your) help we will be able to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life and health of many a child in need. Even more so by doing and loving what we actually do every day.

Agata is a Polish DJ and producer currently based in Berlin. Her high energy sets span multiple genres, blending together captivating melodies, powerful rhythms and cutting-edge sound design. During her performances, she combines different styles, from driving grooves and trance-infused techno to psy and tek. When not behind the decks, she is focused on production, having self-released her first EP Realign in June last year. Since then she has contributed to compilations on esteemed labels such as Deestricted, No Borders, MUSA and technomate. She is also affiliated with Berlin-based BLVSH collective, which supports FLINTA talents within the local scene.

Sound of Another Name IV : Carlo & Selma

What started as a live stream at Moscow’s Mutabor on 3rd May 2020, has morphed into the first instalment of a new digital compilation series on трип: Hot Steel. 
The concept is simple: trip head Nina Kraviz announces the stream date and sends out a call to artists for their unreleased work to oidodekraviz@gmail.com, all genres are welcome. After the stream takes place, the favourite tracks are signed and a few weeks later Hot Steel is released. 

To kick off the series, Hot Steel features newcomers, fresh talent and already established artists from all over the world: from New Zealand to Spain, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland to the US and Canada, but also Russia, France, the Netherlands and Georgia. 

Hot Steel will be released on 19th June to join Bandcamp in their commitment on that day and give 100% of the sales from the compilation to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

A key figure in Russian techno community, Nastia Reigel started out by organizing illegal dance parties in Siberia. That tenacity and dedication later found her in Saint Petersburg, where she launched the first-ever queer parties in the city called Грань (Grahn’), the notoriety of which was soon featured in DAZED. She spent years accumulating mixing techniques and selection skills that have given her a unique voice as a musician and a DJ, along with a busy touring schedule in Russia, Europe, Australia, and North and South America. Nastia's obsession with achieving deeper understanding of electronic music, modern art and constant development of techno sound finds its reflection in her mixes and production. Her vinyl releases 'Trust, Intimacy' and 'Disarm To Surrender' on Enemy Records demonstrate a perfect balance of artistic taste, technical ability and has already garnered support from established techno musicians. In April 2020 Nastia makes her debut on TOKEN Records. As a multidisciplinary artist, Nastia has written music for several art-house films, which has broadened her scope as a musician well beyond techno, to various other experimental audio and visual projects. One of them is her post-punk alias Rosa Damask that first appeared on Vatican Shadow’s Berghain Mix 09; soon after, she released an album on his widely revered Hospital Productions label.
