Techno Sets August 2020

A tension builds. A primal hum vibrates through the air. Prepare for something immense, something extraordinary, to break through. The latest release from Bulah is more than just Techno music; it's a signal from the depths of the cosmos, a powerful cry echoing through space. 

These four tracks feel unearthed, like they were discovered deep beneath the surface, remnants of forgotten underground gatherings and ritualistic performances. This is the raw power of techno, a tectonic shift in sound.

I was playing with Roland Tr-8 ,System 1m and Jp-08 on midi controller Arturia Keystep (cannon bit). I named this album (live album) Juliet from the MORSE code, which means: "Dangerous cargo aboard and on fire; keep clear" .

FRENETIK009 is live and this time it sees us take the series to Catalonia for the hard, high octane sound of Industrialized's STX. 

STX first came to our attention through his successful podcast series which through he provides a platform for the raw, fast techno that caught our eye. He also happens to be on the bill on the 17th of November at Jaded with Ayahuasca & Umbraid which sees Jaded hosting another of their infamous parties at Corsica Studios. 

This one is another that we've had under wraps for a while now and sees us returning back to a harder techno sound.

FRENETIK009 - STX

Frenetik026 comes courtesy of Berrik and is heavy from the first whistle. Originally from Glasgow but now based in London, Berrik has been mixing for a few years now but recently has come into his own and found his style. His hard, energetic sound has seen him previously feature on the Voight-Kampff series and we were delighted to have him on board when he registered an interest.  

This mix was inspired by the parties at FOLD, Jaded and also the experiences of partying in mainland Europe. It was recorded on three cdjs and features tracks by the likes of Clouds, Gijensu, Mother Mary and PLEXOS. 

We’d like to thank Berrik for taking part in our series and providing us with a slammer of a mix which we hope you all enjoy as much as we do. Eoi.

ØRGIE, est un jeune producteur et DJ parisien.
Son style varie entre une techno sombre industrielle mais aussi l’acid et le hardcore.

C’est après huit ans de batterie qu’il commence la production sur PC et découvre le monde de la techno. Progressivement, il se procure des machines qui remplaceront le software. C’est grâce à cela que le jeune artiste a su se démarquer.

Il fonde avec Ma Čka et 93SOVAGE, le label Mekanikal Bloodshed.

Tonight, we’re in U.K. with the sound of the London born and based artist Rommek, also known as half of the experimental duo Torn Relics. 

Romek Boyer is the talented producer behind his Rommek aka. He has already released on important labels as BluePrint Records, where he went out with a 3part release composed by 8 originals and with remixes by James Rusking and Broken English Club just to name a few.

At the moment he has a forthcoming EP on Leyla Records and an experimental release on Loose Lips, on top of a second Album as Torn Relics going out at the end of 2020. So keep an eye on him.

Now, I’m gonna leave space to his sound, the sound of Rommek.

An active fashion photographer by day, rising star of the dark circles of electronic scene by night. Winning great interest of more and more listeners with his great selection, delivered to the public from black records as well as his modesty and authenticity. PAWEL, as he is spoken about, is involved in music for a relatively short time and it was the period of time spent abroad that allowed him to find his way to techno while London directed his sound. His sets are strongly influenced by such artists as Blawan, D.Dan, Freddy K and Setaoc Mass, and in his performances he tries to combine different styles into a coherent, eclectic unity. However, as he says, he is most inspired by Berlin DJs and producers, and joining the latter is his private dream and goal. To achieve this, in his free time, he is intensively improving his skills in music production.

Discovering the dance floor first and therefore experiencing numerous impressive and talented artists over the years, Atalanta not only developed an immense fascination for techno but after all discovered her true passion early 2018. Soon afterwards, due to complete devotion and pure enthusiasm Atalanta already played in well-known clubs in Leipzig and Berlin such as Distillery, Institut für Zukunft and Suicide Club.

Her energetic and driving sound is characterized by raw, dark, melodic and industrial techno often loosened up by break beats and electro, creating a pulsating and lifting vibe on the dance floor.

Since August 2019 Atalanta is one of the Residents at Distillery in Leipzig. Furthermore she started the project „Inferis“ together with Cedric Kuschnick. Expect one hour of heavy machinery!
