Malfunction

Few artists have struck us with the ability to craft entirely new aural worlds, that feel tangible and endlessly expansive, the way @kidd-luna has. "PLASTIC" is an effort in the marriage of "Organic" and "Processed" sounds, constantly opening new doors, each track is like a multi-limbed creature designed to keep you engaged and guessing, all while having the introspective nature of an abandoned concrete jungle, and simultaneously, the bite of a dark demented club set. "Higher Self" was written by singer/songwriter Jenny Florinicia and guitarist/bassist John McDermott on a sunny August day in 2019 at Rittenhouse Square Park in Philadelphia. Both graduates of the University of the Arts in Philly, Jenny studied Musical Theatre Performance and John studied Bass Performance. This song is a spiritual anthem for Jenny, based off of the yoga philosophy she learned in her Teacher Training at Motherheart Yoga Sangha in Fishtown.
