The 6-tracker creates a sonic landscape out of mountainous rhythms, mutating synths and liquid bass patterns contrasted with timid feedback resonances and fluttering shimmery piano recordings against a backdrop of environmental sound. Mary Yuzovskaya's vinyl-only, Berlin-via-Brooklyn Monday Off label continues to explore techno's shadowy depths; where the music's subtle dynamics unfurl in intensely cerebral and psychedelic ways. The rising Roman producer Hoedus, who's previously contributed to one of the Various Artist compilations, offers three exquisite new tracks on this latest edition to MOFF's catalogue.

The propulsion of opening track Frames rolls in like a summer's evening thunderstorm; fresh and unrelenting as its elements swirl around the listener, while ever-crescendoing in subdued intensity. Moving Up Slowly follows suit, but unlike its namesake, it dives straight into peak time energy with ravey drones that slowly evolve into an array of tripping tones that tunnel straight into the brain.
The following side begins with MOFF fave Spanish artist Orbe remixing Moving Up Slowly; its energy further increased tenfold as otherworldly sounds dance around the main motif with frenetic intensity. Gravity Zero closes out the EP by simmering away with body-centric rhythms and a heady afterglow that's reminiscent of an extended sunrise moment.

Concept:
It is our absolute pleasure to announce the first compilation on QEONE.

This wonderful collection of tracks is really unique as all pieces are based on one concept which is completely sound design oriented. The idea behind this release series is to have one material or substance which will then be interpreted by the artists. For this very first compilation we chose the material Wood.

In the end the artists will also reveal some specific techniques which they used for the production of each track to transform this project also into a skill sharing platform for followers to learn from and get inspired. It offers a great opportunity to get insight into various approaches to one topic.

Michał Wolski‘s production ‚Where Have You Come From‘ touches the deepest side of things with his drony impulses and hypnotising vibes. He created all of the sounds using one little sample in which he recorded two wooden kitchen tools. The processing of it turned out so versatile that nobody would suppose that it is only featuring that one source sound.
