Smart bomb

A band with a mythical name, taken from a Russ Meyer cult movie from the 60s, it moved its first steps in 1992, coming from the sixties garage acts. Their first record (Bee-pop) was released in 1994 with Vacation House records. The record was infused with melodic punk and it also paid an homage to pop music, filtering the band's compositional personality with influences taken from Mega City Four, Descendents e Hard-Ons. In October 1995 the band was included in 45" Urlo compilation with the track "Kick her out". In April 1996 VH Records released "Punk Rock Party", "a further step towards the essence of punk-rock like the Ramones and Buzzcocks, and a successful attempt at revitalizing the melodic and smart sound of '77/'78 with irony and competence" (Rumore magazine).Today Mondo Topless come back on stage with new EP "OH YEAH,OH NO!" - Emty Music 2012. Much more Power Pop and less easy going than the nineties but still loving powerful shots of pop rock. Now on stage after 15 long years.
