MonetteTheArtist is a singer-songwriter based in London. Her genre is a combination of Neo-Soul with a Folk flare. Influenced by the sounds of Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill and Corinne Bailey Rae. 

From a young age, Monetté has always had a passion for encouraging social change. The first song she had ever wrote at the age of 6, was based on Anti-Bullying and still to this day, she creates with the same purpose. 
She strives to only be a positive and honest influence for her listeners. Inspiring people to love who they are and not follow the trends and expectations the world has created for them - instead create their own! She created her own philosophy (“just be who you are and love every obstacle that comes in the way, because it can make you a better person.”) in which she follows and reflects through her music. 

“Music is my voice, especially when I was young. I was very socially awkward because there was a point in my life where that confident little girl kind of disappeared- and then I was really afraid of expressing who I was… so music was my way of having a voice. Whether it be a uptempo number or a soulful ballad, her songs have a strong emotive appeal that connects her to a wide ranged audience who find her music relatable. Though she may not be classically trained, her thick vocal tone and range of up to 3.5 octaves make up for that. Expressing strong sassy moments and soft vulnerable moments in a enticing manner.

Prepare to be enchanted by her deliciously thick, ethereal vocals and raw honest lyrics. She is not one to be missed.
