Watery and violent, “Gucci Airbags” by Italian producer Money Lang is a deconstructed dance track-meets-score music from an imaginary, nail-biting action film. 
In a world of splashing ambiance and sinister flanged-out riffs, convulsing drums conjure multiple collisions over roughly two minutes. The combination is cool, restrained, and intermittently overwhelming – maximalist with a minimal feel. 
It’s like Money Lang is imagining the obscenely rich Jay-Z bar on Drake’s “Pound Cake”: “Gucci airbags just in case we crash.” But what if the crash were a full-on, high-stakes chase scene? And what if it happened at a marina?
