DJ Moni Musique is the moniker of Miami based photographer/musician, Monica McGivern. As a photographer she documents international breaking news, and the intersection of contemporary art and music from the underground to the institution. 

Inspired by the raw energy of garage rock and punk from her home state of Michigan, the Detroit scene has become even more of an influence as she expands her musical pallete from collecting vinyl rare grooves, into house and dance tunes.

As a bassist, she has performed internationally with the band she co-founded, Haute Tension. A psychedelic surf noir unit consisting of guitar/bass/drums. The band's debut album was named "Best Local Album" by Miami New Times.
