The narrative of this choral work derives from an old Javanese epic poem by Mangkunegara IV(King of Surakarta in the 1800s)advocating for the moderate practice of Islam in line with local customs and traditions. Compositionally, it is an exploration of musical intervals.

This work was created as part of an exhibition on Fame for the Percy Grainger museum. It explores Andy Warhol’s conception of fame as the ability to reproduce oneself, resulting in degradation and loss of control over the self. Warhol’s quote ‘I think everybody should love everybody’ morphs into ‘I think everybody should love me.’ The vocal melody is derived from Grainger's Colonial Song but is deconstructed to create new meaning as a criticism of Grainger's racial views – Colonial Song becomes Post-Colonial Song.

This is a piece using AI Markov chains to mash together a Bach toccata and a Javanese song Dara Muluk through probability chain calculations. The end result is a combination of machine and human decision-making.
