Opium's favorite newcomer, Ugnė Sync, drags us from EBM to Indie via dark disco tunes to trance and Giallo vibes in LAYER #308. Ugné has been in love with music since she was a kid and started shaping the love a couple of years ago, picking from the depths of the beforementioned genres. This mix would serve as a proper background to a teenage horror with topless youngsters.

Do not want to sound exaggerating things, but this gig for me was the most enjoyable ever. One for the books. We all knew its the last one for a while, so everybody in the dancefloor including me gave it all that night, which got well into the day and finished at 3 AM daytime. After a long time (5-6 years??) i played only vinyls in the club, which for me is a special thing. My set took 9 hours - and its very very rare thing for me to play alone and so long at Smala party, which is usually dedicted to our favorite guests. But the most important thing was the athmosphere and the smiles of the people in the club, I rarely see this kind of unity and joy in the party. Thank you opiumofthepeople ❤️

In these 9 hours you'll hear favorite peaces from my vinyls, which I collect for more than 15 years. Total smala hits, old and new, just recently bought specially for this night, also records i never dared to play in the club. Gifts from my musican friends & peaces bought while travelling. In short - these records containt lots memories and energy in them. Let's start from the very first record I chose - it's the track "Enviroment" by Marc E - long time favorite producer of me. It's 5:30 in the morning...

Monika Seta is one of the leading female figures in the Lithuanian electronic music scene. Based in Vilnius, she’s been progressively making a name for herself in both Lithuanian and European context as a talented and diligent DJ, with a refined taste for disco, indie, dance, nu, slow electronic music. 
During her study years, Monika was working as a music journalist and was part of the Lithuanian DJ magazine editorial staff. 2016 marked an important step for Monika as a DJ and promoter as she became a member of an acclaimed electronic music platform Whypeopledance. Together with her colleagues, she was looking for an answer for why do people dance in form of exclusive premieres, podcasts with prominent guests, party series and a new digital label.
Being a frequent guest DJ in clubs Opium and Lizdas, Monika eventually gained a resident DJ slot in these clubs over last few years. In Lizdas club, she curates her own “In Future We Lust” night representing new artists from around Europe. Over 2019, Monika was actively performing not only in Europe - with DJ sets in Red Light Radio, Boiler Room live streaming sessions and renowned Berlin’s clubs About Blank and Salon Zur Wilden Renate - but also increasingly gaining recognition outside Lithuania.
