Welcome to Through The Waves, Volume 2! This month’s journey takes a look a Experimental music. Eschewing traditional sounds and composition, today’s selections use noise as an instrument, explore the limits of oscillators, incorporate industrial sounds, and contain unusual composition. Some of the sounds are soothing and other grating. Without a doubt, the composers and producers of these tracks were pushing the limits of what comprises a song and even what we consider music.

Through The Waves - Volume 2:  Experimental

I consider myself a fringe transmedia conceptual artist and have experimented with all kinds of media like drawing, performance, writing, music, painting, moviemaking, game design since I was quite young. I'd love it if you would check out what I've got going here in the sound department.

Moniker Prime is a Chicago-based Producer and DJ.  

His productions tend toward bass-heavy electronica, incorporating found sound and manipulated samples.  They span genres from lo-fi downtempo, bass house, techno, breaks, and more.  

As a selector, his sets often eschew genre adherence and focus instead on the feeling and atmosphere that the sounds create.
