Henning Schmiedt - Raum

"LOG" is a project by Miyauchi Yuri to create music at his own pace, leaving fragments of music with environmental sounds of the day and place whenever he feels like it. On his official website (www.miyauchiyuri.com), He upload demo versions made on the same day (or sometimes later). I think I will mainly record and produce music in Chiba, Japan, where I live, but He will also try to do it in various places such as expeditions and travel destinations.

Henning Schmiedt’s new original variations of Bach’s famous Goldberg aria deal with the same theme as the original – to find rest in sleepless nights and the hope that slumber will finally come.
Accordingly the titles of the songs In Henning’s new album Schlafen tell the story of a hypnosis session.

The upright muted piano is played extremely softly and gently, presenting the iconic classical gem in a very different attitude.
Microphones placed very closely to the piano capture an intimate sound and emphasise the noises and movements inside the piano.
The music paints the blue color of twilight and might make you sink in deeply.

Song from my most recent album Bite The Mountain which I recorded in Japan. This song is about onigiri which is a parcel of rice wrapped in seaweed with a surprise in the middle which is usually fishy!
