Besides, we are having back Convolute, Altman and bastinov from earlier remix duties. Also, Infinite Depth is welcoming two new talents, Final Request and Dario Gismondi. 

Dario Gismondi’s ‘Cocito’ is opening up the doors to the darkest side of the VA. Unusual, but impressive, drums are forming the base. On top of this base a captivating synth drags you into the track, when suddenly it gets broken down by a dark force.'

The Second Milestone

Premiere: Dario Gismondi - Cocito [Infinite Depth]

After the second VA, it’s time for the 27th EP of the label. On this release the Italian duo Anticyclone are making their banging debut. They bring to you three euphoric and dancefloor orientated originals, with a high-energy atmosphere throughout the whole EP. 

The first track is called ‘A Dream’ and already starts off pretty firm. On top of a solid lower part the harmonious pads are rising up. Out of these pads a euphoric one-shot vocal is coming to the front, brining you into a dream. This ecstasy which got strengthen by the harsh, but on the other hand subtle, percussion. 

The title track ‘Highlands’ goes through on the same level as the previous track, but with an even more punchy kick underneath. During the first break the tension gets already really high, after which a high vocal chord develops itself towards the second intermission. At the begin of this break the energy gets lowered, to build it up again towards the highest peak of the whole EP. Also here, the precise warehouse percussions are a remarkable essential.

‘Valdivia’ is the final track of this EP. The emotional atmosphere gets preserved and also the characteristic elements of Anticyclone are coming back again. It’s a big club, track which brings a powerful end to this heavenly collection of tracks.

Berlin-based producer Kaufmann unveils her powerful new single “Mother” on VOLTA Records. This evocative release is accompanied by two standout remixes from Tao Andra and Mila Journeé, each bringing a distinct vibe to the energetic original.

“The vocal is undoubtedly at the centre of the track,” Kaufmann explains. “I took inspiration from a well-known System of a Down track and placed the mother at the heart of the story. It's actually my own voice, which I processed with AI, among other tools. I wanted to combine the energies of my favourite genres: techno with some psy and a pinch of metal."

Tao Andra’s remix takes the track into hypnotic, tribal-influenced techno terrain, while Mila Journeé lends her signature melodic touch with a cinematic, driving reinterpretation.

“This is my second time releasing with VOLTA Records,” says Mila Journeé. “The first was a two-track EP that did really well, and now I'm back with a remix of a really cool track by Kaufmann, at the invitation of Victor, a great friend and production partner who I love working with. "For the first release of 2021, Infinite Depth welcomes the Argentinian Emiliano Demarco to the label. Emiliano delivered three sophisticated originals with 'Blue Apocalypse' as the title track of the EP. As an addition the British His. Creator managed to create a great remix of the final track of the EP.

The first track is 'Blue Apocalypse'. This track already represents the heavy grooves which are present throughout the full EP. The synthwork smoothly matches the groove and together they are forming a perfect interplay. The minimalistic development of the track ensures that the break and its build-up are becoming pretty intense, after which the arrangement goes on in its trusted rhythm.

The next track is called 'Antimateria'. The first thing that strikes the ear are the sharp percussion and drums, followed by the acid flowing through the track. As soon as the first break hits, a captivating melody comes forward. This plucky synth represents an antimatter, which collides into its matter during the second break. When an antimatter and a matter collide, a lot of energy gets released. Exactly what is happening at the final and unexpected climax.

When such an energy is released an empty space remains. The third track 'Memoria' embodies this empty space. This track is atmospheric with a more pounding lower part. During the most calm moment all elements are blending together and are falling into another dimension. A dimension where the track becomes more vigorous.

His. Creator took the atmospheric and dreamy ambiance of the original and surrounded it with a second layer of warm elements. At one point these layers have to make place for the harsh and falling melody, but after a while this melody got wrapped again by the positive and pleasant ambiance. This minimalistic remix forms a perfect end to this sophisticated EP. "

We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as their restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we have Paul Sawyer, the English maestro known for his polished sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh – His transcendent touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Last but not least we have a remix courtesy of Arash Shadram, who delivers a trademark deep melodic mix with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown. It's all about the groove, cool melodic vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Arash Shadram's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. 

With 'Arizona' William Medagli, Thallulah & Shemsu really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments!
