Ever get the feeling you’re being manipulated? Ever get the feeling you’re manipulating things? Somewhere between these two questions exists this seismic slab of dark post-disco drama from Leipzig duo @newhook: ‘Manipulation’. A track to make you consider the extents of how much you manipulate your environment and how much it manipulates you; ‘Manipulation’ first came to life in 2018. The same year Riotvan introduced the duo to the world on their ‘Familiar Faces’ VA collection. Four years, and various releases on the likes of Ombra and Live At Robert Johnson, later and the original version of ‘Manipulation’ has recently been released on Underground Pacific album ‘The Only Good Wave Is A New One’. But there’s more to story... Now redeveloped and reworked, ‘Manipulation’ has been manipulated into this epic club missile on Riotvan. Electrified and strident in its swagger, this new version maintains the duo’s sultry, provocative vocal but carries much more dancefloor weight. Every bit as sharp and to the point as the name 

New Hook suggests, it’s also been blessed with an equally forthright twist from dark disco don @cursesforever who brings a little added funk to the bassline, manipulating the already manipulated ‘Manipulation’ with his own unique flare. Now it’s time for your turn to manipulate it in the mix...

Pysh’s Find the Rhythm EP, out now on Octopus Recordings, is a two-track triumph that channels the ecstatic spirit of ’90s rave into a modern techno juggernaut, with Lesal’s electrifying vocals as the beating heart.
The title track, Find the Rhythm, is a pulsating anthem—its sinuous, groove-soaked bassline and crisp, kinetic percussion lay the foundation for Lesal’s voice: a soaring, adrenaline-charged throwback to warehouse raves, radiating pure, hands-up euphoria. It’s less about brute force and more about infectious momentum, pulling listeners into a hypnotic sway that feels both timeless and urgent.
That Groove, the EP’s second offering, doubles down with a deeper, funkier bassline that rolls like a tidal wave, cradling Lesal’s vibrant, rave-recalling vocal hooks amid shimmering synth flourishes.
Both tracks capture the raw, communal joy of dance music’s golden era while pushing forward with Pysh’s meticulous production flair.

For his EP on Roam, Darlyn Vlys offers two new original works. The title track - Bladed - sets the mood with stylish vocals and guitar stabs that hit all the right places. Neo Noir brings the tempo up while keeping the lush soundscape found throughout the EP.  Backing up the originals are two incredible and diverse remixes by Kiwi and Pardon Moi. Kiwi moves Neo Noir in a smooth dreamy direction while Pardon Moi remakes Bladed into full on 80s Italo anthem.
