Rituale 008 - Adhémar

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Adhémar. He is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works.
Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work.
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJ set, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.
He released his music on labels: Oslated, Huinali Recordings, Lett Records, KVLTÖ, Aarden Records, Secuencias Temporales, Diffuse Reality...

This summer, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Deep Techno.

Artist biography :

Adhémar is a multidisciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and plastic works. Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and lights, his music is closely linked to his plastic work.
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. This summer, after working all the year imagining, preparing and designing our beloved Ouroboros festival, we had a special moment of relief on the Saturday morning, waking up with the ambient and dubby tones of Verveine, one of our members, and see that the first night as passed, everything finally went very well and it was continuing to flow till the next day. 

It’s hard to find the right words to describe the crazy vibes we experienced so we made sure to retranscrit with this podcasts a bit of it to transmit it. More coming !

Son Of Chi: I always make live sketches. This time for my performance in Athens (scroll down for more info). Not sure if I will stick to them, but they give the right impression of the atmosphere i would like to create. The opening words by Kain The Poet reflect the times we live in and the challenges we are facing. I will end with a piece from “The Fifth World Recordings”.  

According to the Hopi prophecies we are now living in the transition years, moving from the fourth world into the fifth world. As they say: “times of earthquakes, floodings, fires, pandemics and wars”. The Hopi believe that in this period you need to be careful where you stay, who you stay with and what you do. Keep practising the holy rituals. Respect nature, the earth, the universe and be good to your fellowmen and all living creatures.

As the Hopi say the fifth world  “represents a spiritual awakening, an evolution in understanding the interconnectedness of all beings and the universe”. We are in the middle of this transition. All we can do is stick to our rituals.

Or as Hazrat Inayat Khan says: “The further we advance, the more difficult and the more important becomes our part in the symphony of life. The more conscious we are of this responsibility, the more efficient we become in accomplishing our task”.

Hey there, today the new episode of the Stellar Series is currated by the talented Adhémar.

From Brussels, Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works. He designed this podcast, a very personal one, as a kind of a quest on his own inner knowledge, analogy made with Andrei Tarkosky's "Stalker" (1979), which confronts the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us.
So, the result is a beautiful 2 hours mix made of various influences, from ambient to techno, passing by modern classical and jazz, which gives a strong narrative potential to the music.
