Monochrome presents, 𝖆𝖚𝖙𝖔𝖒𝖓𝖊 𝖑𝓥 : Farazdeck, Pan d'Or / Above Below.

This autumn, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Farazdeck is a project focusing on the exploration of deep, hypnotic and organic music. This artistic project gets inspiration in our surroundings, its understanding and exploration such as nature, rituals, or psychology, spirituality, science and space.

The Emergence

Nestled within the tranquillity of Seraphim, an extraordinary phenomenon unfolded where the very atmosphere responded to the positive energy of its inhabitants. In this unique town, the sound was not a product of conventional instruments but a harmonious symphony born from the collective reservoir of uplifting thoughts that permeated the air.
Every shared smile, each moment of joy, reverberated through the streets, transforming into an intricate blend of deep and minimal techno that softly echoed in the background. The heart of Seraphim beats to the enchanting rhythm of a musical genre crafted from the harmonious thoughts of its residents. In an intimate gathering space, hidden away from the mundane, a small group of enthusiasts discovered that the purest form of this positive resonance materialised in a distinctive fusion of deep and minimal techno. As individuals embraced mindfulness and nurtured positive energy, the beats and melodies that emerged from their collective consciousness took on a mesmerising quality.

Bio/
Kranos was born in 1990. At the age of 9, he began listening to Techno music. Since then, he has embarked on a detailed journey through various genres of electronic Dance Music, exploring Hardcore, drum and bass, Trance, and Trip Hop, encompassing almost every sample-oriented music style.
In 2007, he started DJing Drum&Bass, dedicating nine years to the craft as part of an active collective and performing in front of large audiences, bringing him complete pleasure. In 2016, his musical preferences evolved thanks to his favourite club, Elysia, in Basel, Switzerland, leading him towards ambient and deep techno. This began a new musical journey filled with various intense tunes.
Since then, Kranos has consistently sought pure bliss through stimulating hypnosis, placing this experience at the forefront of his musical endeavours.

inspiration.

Bacchus was born of Zeus and Semele's union against the will of Hera, Zeus wife. When the jealous Hera learned of Semele's pregnancy by Zeus she angrily plotted against them. She disguised herself and came to Semele, telling her she should ask that Zeus appear before her in all his glory as the god of thunder.Zeus swore to grant whatever wish Semele might have. Forced to abide by his oath, he appeared to Semele as a display of lightening and thunder, which killed her. As Semele died, she gave birth to Bacchus, who died as well. Zeus restored life to him and sent the child to be raised by the nymphs, out of Hera's jealous eye.

As the god of spring, he is Bacchus is said to be in terrible pain during winter when the flowering plants and vines wither and die.
His followers were called bacchants. After reveling and overindulging in wine, they danced around in a craze often trampling and tearing people and animals to pieces. Bacchanalia was a festival held which involved excessive drinking and drunken orgies. Also known as Dionysus [Greek].
