Monochrome presents, Eté II : Vardae, Cosmic Wave.

This summer, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Dub-Techno.

Artist biography :

Vardae, a project with one ambition, that of breaking away from the genre barrier to explore new sounds around the love for psychedelic music. A powerful sound going from dub to tribe through techno and drum'n'bass. A universe where immersion and experience prevail over codes with the idea of offering a journey at each of his appearances.

Our 54 series we meet The Alchemical Theory project that  was born in 2018 from the creative union of three italian producers. This project also comes from the love of mysticism, alchemy and nature. In each release they want to represent something that affects the listener's mind, reproducing a real mental journey. 
We highligh their last releases as Sacred Process EP on Come in Records or their contribution for the VA XV on Affin.

This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Diapasøn became interested in music and its instrumental practice at an early age. Since 2012, he has devoted himself fully to electronic music, a way for him to express his passion for current influences. In 2017, he created the Lyon-based label CWR, where he manages the artistic direction and programming. In love with vinyl, his sound universe swims between ambient and psychedelic techno.

The Paris based artist dc11 got into making music via modular synthesisers and to this day they are his tool of choice in the studio as well as in clubs. Gravitating towards the loopy side of techno, his live sets always leave a big part to improvisation. Finding ways to slightly shift loops and grooves hasn’t lost its appeal yet.

Bohdan started his artistic career in the mid-2000s. He went from being a drum & bass DJ and event organizer in Kyiv to focusing on producing music, specializing in immersive, cerebral techno and its diverse forms. His musical portfolio boasts releases on esteemed contemporary techno labels like Informa, NORITE, KVLTÖ, and Illegal Alien.

He's also part of the electronic project Asyncronous. In 2020, he inaugurated the ÆNIGMA series of Kyiv-based events, dedicated to contemporary deep techno, accompanied by a monthly podcast.

Born in Valencia and based in Berlin, Daniel Kyo has been for 20 years now releasing music non-stop, including works on labels such as Hivern Discs and Nitsa Traxx, which has made him gain wide respect in the European electronic music scene. Since the recent creation of his alias CØRE he has been deeply immersed in the hypnotic side of techno with releases out on Norite, Edit Select and Sungate, to name a few. As a DJ, he’s played all around the globe from Tokyo to New York, as well as including clubs like Panorama Bar (Berlin) and festivals like Primavera Sound (Barcelona).

Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has shown a deep interest in music and playing instruments of all kinds since a young age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a means for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences.

In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label which he has co-managed since 2017. A lover of vinyl, he crafts a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes filled with emotion and entrancing textures.

Since his debut on stage, Diapasøn has had the opportunity to play alongside many artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Wünsch, Deniro, Benjamin Damage, Skudge, Blazej Malinowski, Polygonia, Lenson, and many others. All these performances have inspired him and contributed to shaping his artistic identity.
