ARTIST'S BIO:
Noah Lyas, READ 'NO ALIAS' is the pseudonym for the electronic music made by the ceramist Malii Yorks. Forged by the ska, reggae and soul vibes of the 60s, his artistic vision belonged to the rhythms in its every form. Rhythms that improves motion to the body, the soul, the world. An owl style represents this musician, a style that can’t be translate in a specific kind of sound or genre. 

Co-founder of Profundo Collective record label, while landing music on some of the most labels of today.

Evelyn Malinowski (fka Experimental Housewife), a Bay Area underground legend and founder of Perfect Location Records now known as exhouse, graces our "Delayed With..." series with a truly unique mix.

exhouse's musical wisdom is a potent blend of 25 years spent digging for vinyl and spinning records on the radio. Trying to pin down their sound is like chasing smoke – constantly shifting, always surprising. But one thing's sure: Exhouse thrives in the deep end, where grooves simmer, edges bite, and mellow vibes meet meditative states. Their releases have found homes on Mirror Tapes, Identity Spectrum, Jacktone, and Schmer Records, with several self-released gems.

This mix? It's special, just like the time it reflects. It is a journey through exhouse's past, brimming with joy, warmth, and a raw energy that crackles through the speakers. It's a mirror to life itself, with its stretches of smooth sailing (think deep, dubby house, and techno in the opening) that melt seamlessly into moments of pulsating energy, driven by a relentless groove and razor-sharp rides. Richard Chartier (@richard-chartier) is a Los Angeles based artist, considered one of the key figures in minimalist sound art. Chartier’s works explore the inter-relationships between the spatial nature of sound, silence, focus, perception, and the act of listening itself. Chartier's sound works/installations have been presented in galleries and museums internationally and he has performed his work live across Europe, Japan, Australia, and North America at digital art/electronic music festivals and exhibits.

After a few years, we are celebrating—reaching 200, who would have thought! It all started as a happy idea talking with friends from Hausofcolor. "Could we upload the djsets from the parties?" we wondered. And what if we talk to friends from Barcelona to express themselves through music?

Then, with the pandemic, the purpose evolved: to share completely heterogeneous music every week. I aimed to create different dynamics with various lights and concepts. Over time, the channel has been defined in a more specific direction, where the subjective taste has dynamically and tendentially shaped the content. The music featured now can be broadly understood in two main abstract (and very holistic, it must be said) themes. Every week is a surprise. On the other hand, the audience can get a sense of the direction things are heading. There are these two main blocks: one of deep listening, ambient, avant-garde and concrete, minimalism and/or experimental, drone, or more eclectic pieces dedicated to the collector/selector. And another more dedicated to deep beats, at different speeds and rhythms but generally quite horizontal in nature.

I remember dedicating the 100th episode to my fav festival, La Mostra, F-on did a beat djset associated with the sounds you would find in its first edition. For this 200th episode, where La Mostra has now celebrated its third edition, the maestro Richard Chartier has prepared this delight of deep listening without beats. A bit of a summary of the two contexts you can find, broadly speaking, on HOC radio.

This summer, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist Biography :
Sean H is for the deep listeners and dedicated steppers. The Amsterdam-born, Berlin-based DJ flirts with all tempos and textures to create sets that connect the cerebral and the somatic. Her intricately woven mixes find ease with natural and organic sounds that trickle in as refreshing, aerated and spacious as a breath.

Micaela Casella, aka E L A, is an Argentinian DJ based in Milan who began her musical journey in 2011 in Córdoba, Argentina. Returning to Buenos Aires, she deepened her connection with Techno through the “Arjaus” School of Electronic Music, where she honed her technical and production skills. Her sound is defined by ambient soundscapes and subtle grooves, filled with psychedelic nuances that create innovative atmospheres, hypnotic rhythms, and seamless transitions.

Box5ive, a London-based DJ, live performer, and film composer, released his debut LP in June 2024 on @coclear_ and has also featured on labels like Well Street, Comic Sans Records, Initiate, and Panel Audio. His music spans UK techno, ambient, IDM, and cinematic, bass-heavy dub, blending experimental and atmospheric sounds to create a unique sonic landscape.

In Poland, it constitutes an unfair, unwritten law that deprives children of their fathers. Fathers are powerless against long-standing prejudices, pressures, and, as a result, judges' judgments, distorted by the previous system's lack of consistency, lacking in most cases proper professional and life wisdom, a healthy, rational interpretation of childhood trauma, and a lack of goodwill despite existing legal instruments and decades of backwardness in Europe. Mothers in this country, for the most part, treat children as objects, exploiting this system with impunity and unscrupulously humiliating and slandering fathers, which ultimately leads to painful differences and, above all, leads to the separation of the child and hindering contact, thus creating a vicious cycle. This song is about that story and this helplessness.
