Sorin Simon is an artist we have kept our eyes and ears on for a long time now and so we are really happy to have him as the next guest on our Invites series. He has certainly not disappointed with this journey he has crafted for us either - centered around his trademark hypnotic and groovy sound whilst meandering into both more heady and upfront styles. 

Born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, Sorin has had a strong passion for music from a young age and studied piano during his formative years. Now based in London, he is very much a part of the thriving community pushing minimal in the city and a name known to anyone involved in the scene. With tracks on Vivus Records and his own Unknown Tales project he is no stranger to the studio either, and definitely an artist to pay close attention to in years to come.

Curioso desde siempre por la música que se gestaba a su alrededor, en el año dos mil D Jaguar, sin proponérselo, descubre en la música electrónica un universo novedoso y atractivo, y comienza a seguirle los pasos al movimiento underground house y techno que en ese entonces surgía con fuerza en su ciudad natal, Medellín. Este fue el escenario que creó en él un vínculo con los sonidos electrónicos que superó del todo la afición para convertirse en un modo de vida.
D Jaguar está definitivamente marcado por los sonidos negros como el blues, jazz. soul, funk, reggae, salsa, lo mismo que por el house y el techno de Chicago y Detroit, y toda la música que se ha hecho a lo largo de décadas y que ha enriquecido el espectro de la música electrónica de baile, tomándolos como influencias importantes para llegar a consolidar su estilo propio. Sin lugar a dudas, D Jaguar ha hecho de sí un DJ apasionado y profesional, gracias a su incesante obsesión con los nuevos sonidos que se producen en todas partes del mundo y que están en línea para alguien como él, que investiga y experimenta días enteros para sorprender en cada set con música recién salida del máster.

Con presentaciones en toda Colombia, pasando por los mejores clubes de Bogota, Cali, Pereira, Barranquilla, y también con apariciones en festivales de la talla del Ultramar en Cartagena, Freedom y Resistance en Medellín, donde ha tenido la oportunidad de foguearse con grandes nombres de la escena mundial.

También, con presentaciones en Suramérica a lo largo de su carrera, es ya bien conocido en países como Panamá, donde viene presentándose desde hace más de siete años lo mismo en Ecuador y Venezuela. Recientemente terminó su primera gira Europea donde tuvo la oportunidad de tocar en prestigiosos clubs de Alemania, España y Francia.

Los sets de D Jaguar están cargados de música fresca con atmósferas envolventes, hipnóticas y llenas de mucho groove.
