"Jarvis" is a literary place that Dylan Thomas created in his early prose in which some of his stories are set. The characters and the landscapes that are placed in these mystical tales often possess otherworldly and mythological qualities. I see parallels within the narrative and imagery of folk music (particularly British folk music) and have used this music as a main source for my sampling. Having both power in its rawness and beauty in its eloquence, I use my own personal response to folk music whilst relocating it into a modern setting, creating ‘Dreams of Jarvis’.

Access Denied comes out on Freshly Squeezed as The Swing Bot’s first official release. This masked mystery DJ was previously heard on international compilations such as the Electro-Swing Elite and Electro Speakeasy with remixes spanning from early 20th century stars Édith Piaf or Glenn Miller all the way to contemporary influencers Parov Stelar and others.
With a style that demonstrates his club-based musical heritage The Swing Bot combines the dark, relentless sounds of underground electronic music with a vintage jazz tradition, creating his own pulsating melange of French house and electro-swing. The Swing Bot, forever hidden behind his illuminated moustache mask, presents in Access Denied a different take on the shuffling rhythm of dancehall swing, using its ceaseless beat to transform a social dance into a trance-like state. 
The Swing Bot regularly takes his live show on the road. With a dazzling visual component, he travelled from Paris to Hamburg, Brussels, London and beyond, leaving behind a mesmerised audience and his particular French touch on the vintage remix scene. We are delighted to be able to finally present a snapshot of his work in the form of these three songs on Access Denied with at least one other future release currently planned.
Access Denied is part of the revived Blue-Cover Series 2.0, with future releases planned from the likes of PiSk, K.D.S., CHARLIE BEALE, FAB SAMPERI and others so keep your eyes peeled!

Alice Francis: The new swing-era’s designated queen of cool and easily one of the most exciting new acts this year. Besides her unique voice that melds modern pop with the crystal clear pitch of all-time greats like Billie Holiday and Eartha Kitt, Alice is an extraordinarily skilled songwriter, lyricist and live-performer.

The productions of Alice and her musical counterpart Goldielocks offer much more than merely retro chic.  Gangster Love - it's the sound of the Roaring Twenties with the means of 21st Century.  It is one of the jewels of the debut album by Alice Francis. In a very large, complex production, with great attention to detail, The team processed with a wink, the mood and the vibe of "The Godfather" in a new actual guise. 
While it tells of crooks and a lost love, it draws the listener with operettas, violin and car squeaking sounds from the beginning paired in its magical spell of wild 20ties with a 21st Century head banger beat that cannot make your feet stand still. 
For this production, Goldielocks' brought the best musicians of the genre into the studio. On the violin Axel Lindner, he recorded the impressive violin solo a la Stephane Grappelli. Peter Kowal, guitarist from the Hot Club de Cologne swings the Gipsy guitar in the style of Django Reinhardt's and Natalie Kies, singer from the same jazz trio, together with Sir Chul-Min Yoo and even Goldielocks sang the elaborately arranged backing vocals. 
Influences from electro, hip hop, soul and pop are arranged on such a high level that their fan base is growing worldwide.
After Shoot him down and St. James Ballroom, which together registered over 500,000 views, a support tour in Germany with Parov Stelar and Caravan Palace now they are playing concerts in Vancouver, Istanbul, Israel, Paris, London, Moscow to Prague...

Great fellow artists like Alle Farben, Tunebrothers and Shiny Mob (aka Caravan Palace) the Sound Nomaden, 3asy - K and Jamie Berry have made remixes of Gangster Love.   They create a distinctive combination of Electro Pop, Vocal House and Electro Swing.
It should be danced to..., if we should ask.... the ladies and gentlemen... like at one of their concerts.
