MARC HOULE UNVEILS ‘RESTORED’ REMIX ALBUM 	

Marc Houle is set to release a full remix package from his debut LP, Restore, featuring remix contributions from an all-star line-up of techno luminaries including Danny Daze, Harvard Bass, Julian Jeweil, Joris Voorn, M.A.N.D.Y., Popof and Marc Houle himself.

Originally released on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label a decade ago, Restore stands alone as Houle’s very first long-player and helped to establish his penchant for the quirkier side of techno and his superlative production skills. Spread across 11 tracks it encapsulated the dark, minimal, groove-driven sound purveyed by Hawtin and the rest of the Minus crew, while retaining a strong sense of Houle’s unique character and identity. Now it’s the perfect time to breath new life into an album that has stood the test of time, still utterly infectious and absorbing – a collection of music that captures an era of stripped back, yet captivating sounds. 

10 years since its release, the album is getting the remix treatment and Marc has called in some of the very best in techno talent to give Restore a fresh makeover. The selection of artists who’ve contributed to the ‘Restored’ project includes heavyweights such as Joris Voorn, M.A.N.D.Y. and Popof together with additional reworks from stars of the new generation such as Danny Daze, Julian Jeweil and Harvard Bass, all giving his tracks a new lease of life. In addition, Houle himself has also stepped up to offer a new contemporary take on his own music, collaborating with vocalist Genevieve Marentette on ‘Demor’.

Direct yet sophisticated, brutal yet refined, physical yet cerebral: opposites collide to perfection on this latest transmission from one of Hamburg's finest exports and a bona fide techno legend - Oliver Huntemann. Here, he returns to his very own Senso imprint with two massive tracks aimed firmly at the floor.
The airy feel of 'Schwarzlicht' with its simple kick-less beat and intricate, textured woodblocks gives way to an imposing, thorax-rattling low end that's felt as much as heard. Precision-engineered for a big system, the pitch-bent bass twists around itself like a contortionist in chains, while above, brittle piercing stabs pulse and ping.
On the flipside, the slamming kick and buzzing repetitions of 'Filmriss' cast a dark, edgy vibe. A pitched-up pulse - as if a string is being slowly tightened to breaking point - makes way for a monstrous sub bass. Deeply accomplished, these tracks are ample testimony to Huntemann's two-decade stint at techno's cutting edge.

Monocraft discovered electronic music in his young age, but he really deepened into techno music in 1998. A year later he bought his first vinyls and began to build his DJ career. From the very beginning found himself in the underground techno and he played music by artists such as: Surgeon, James Ruskin, Jeff Mills, Oliver Ho, The Advent and so on.

In the early 2000s, was given an opportunity to play in a small club from week to week, where he could show his unique sound. These club nights have become more and more popular so his name also became well-known to the audience and intertwined with techno. Due to this he received great deal of invitations to different clubs and events in Hungary over the years.

After spending 10 years behind the decks, in 2009 he started to work on his own tracks and got his first release in January 2010. In subsequent years Monocraft’s name - thanks to his releases - became well known in the international scene and came out at influential labels such as: Silent Steps, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Android Muziq, Phobiq or Brood Audio and his works are played by big names like Dave Clarke, Luke Slater or Richie Hawtin.

His music is mostly deeper, darker with hypnotic synth leads, but at the same time raw, energetic and powerful with strong bass lines and pounding grooves.

The next step in Monocraft’s musical journey - after months of planning - at the beginning of 2015 he launched his own label called: Dark Fields Records. The main idea of the label is to deliver uncompromising, unique, quality techno from talented artists.

It's worth to pay attention to Monocraft’s works in the future.

Dark Fields third, dancefloor oriented techno compilation, 'Cerebrum' has arrived. In this small package you can discover from minimalist and DJ Tool style tracks to more complex, precise musics with heavy basslines, synth sequences and with its own story.

  'Cerebrum Part III' featuring tracks from the Madrid-born Dr Cyanide, who is the head of Hardtools Records. His Birmingham style influenced tracks released on labels such as Granulart Recordings, PoleGroup's sublabel Aine, Kobayashi or Newrhythmic Records and his musics was remixed by heavyweight artists like Kessell from Exium, Kike Pravda, Michel Lauriola or Al Ferox.

Boss of Blackrod Records, Depthon joined for the second time to our crew. His well-structured label released EPs and remixes on vinyl from artists like Robert S (PT), MTD, Takaaki Itoh, Edit Select, TWR72 and Depthon's recently released 12" called 'Exhale & Relax EP' is supported by: Shlømo, Adam Beyer, Antigone, Luke Slater, Len Faki, The Advent and Dax J.

Dark Fields founder Mirrørmask and one of the most active members of the label, Kristopher Mørder stands behind the duo called Hidden Anger. The first EP of Hidden Anger came out at the well-known and respected techno label, Subsist Records and one of the tracks from 'Radiant Energy EP' landed immediately on the legendary Surgeon's playlist and played at Dekmantel Podcast 200. In addition they received great feedbacks from Slam, Etapp Kyle, Alderaan or Electric Indigo. But Mirrørmask and Kristopher Mørder show their skills separately as well in this release and 'Cerebrum Part III' will be complete with them.
