The journey begins in the valley, where instinct guides the first steps. There is no plan, only a
feeling - to leave the car behind and follow the nearest path upwards. The trail leads through a forest drenched in moss, damp earth underfoot, and the quiet breath of pines shading the way.
It is a beginning wrapped in stillness, as if the mountain itself is waiting.

As the ascent grows steeper, the landscape opens little by little. Between the trees, sudden
windows of light reveal sweeping views of the surrounding hills, endless forests stretching
across the horizon. Each pause carries a sense of wonder, the climb itself becoming part of
the rhythm. The higher the path winds, the lighter the heart becomes, as though every step
pulls the spirit closer to something timeless.

Near the summit, a hidden cave emerges. From the outside, it seems small and unassuming - but inside, it unfolds into a vast, otherworldly chamber. Stalactites and stalagmites form silent sculptures, while the last glow of the setting sun pours through the entrance, bathing the stone in a magical light. It feels like stepping into a secret only nature can hold, a moment of awe suspended in time.

This EP carries those impressions into sound - the quiet beginning in the valley, the momentum of ascent, and the luminous mystery discovered at the peak. A translation of fleeting beauty into rhythm and tone, held like an echo of the mountain itself.

Belukha — the sacred peak of Altai, shining above the clouds. They call it the Heart of Siberia, the Axis of the World, the place where Earth and Sky meet. At an altitude of 4509 meters, breath turns into prayer, and every step feels like a touch of eternity. Belukha reflects the sun like a mirror of time: morning light in its snow sounds like music, and evening shadow — like silence. For centuries, pilgrims have come here seeking answers, artists — inspiration, and shamans — signs from the spirits of the mountains. This peak cannot be conquered — it can only accept.

Vol. 12 Mountain Altai VA concludes the Dub Techno Star Collection — the final ascent, where sound reaches its highest point. Nine tracks unfold like steps toward light, purification, and transcendence.

This part of the collection, created to celebrate the third anniversary of [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], is dedicated to clarity, renewal, and inner elevation. Belukha Mountain is music born from silence — and silence resonating through sound. Twelve volumes, twelve sacred places, twelve sonic legends — one journey through the spiritual geography of Altai. This is the end of the path. And at the same time — its beginning.

A new collection of otherworldly transmissions from Deepchord’s laboratory. With "Ultraviolet Music", Deepchord returns to his proprietary formula of atmospheric heroin-house (after 2013's more cinematic "20 Electrostatic Soundfields"). A hallucinogenic amalgamation of deep emotive textures swimming around 4/4 kicks and sub-bass, middle of the night atmospheres, hypnotic repetitions, shortwave static and slowly evolving textures that envelop the listener in warm blankets of sound. Equally effective on a dance floor as it is in one's private space. Multi-dimensional sounds that move the mind and the feet. Numerous (processed) acoustic and organic sound sources make these tracks seem alive in a way that is uncommon in electronic music today. They are breathing life-forms that reveal their subtle layers with repeated listenings. It’s music that's influenced equally by 1980's experimental, 1990's ambient, Detroit techno, deep house, and Berlin school, creating something entirely unique in the process. You walk into a room and feel this soothing pulse of understanding, a radiant sense of care for your well-being carries over through the speakers as pads croon their sympathy to you. As the mental cinema continues to unfold and acid tones combine with a swirling percussive groove, you know you are home. All the ways in which this night seemed to have gone wrong, are just right. For without them, this ethereal moment of transcendence would be impossible. Without them, there would be no Shikha.
