Mario Neha returns to Monog Records with the superb Synthension EP. Switzerland based DJ, producer Mario, boasts a wide and varied catalogue of releases over the years. He runs his own imprint called Inyan Music, releasing quality cuts at every turn. He first showed up here with his debut remix on Emocija EP by Jelly For The Babies & Buba. Great to see him back once again.

The release kicks off with the Original Mix of Synthension. We’re drawn into a deep, slow burning groover, filled with strange, mind-bending sounds and FX amidst a backdrop of tight beats and rhythmic percussions. The track tells a dark tale with injections of cosmic flair that will intrigue the listener, top-notch stuff. Walcott debuts on Monog with a solid remix of Synthension. Over the years, Walcott has been refining his sound and learning his trade. He has travelled the world, picking up ideas, moving between genres. Now, his sound incorporates diverse styles, bringing familiarity while never shying to go off the beaten path. Great to have him here. Walcott takes his interpretation to the stratosphere and beyond. A pacier affair, he focusses in on the surreal with beautifully rich and intertwining FX and synths. Driven by a strong bass groove and tight drum arrangement, this one will not disappoint. Life Is Dope is up next, sticking with the spacey themes that run through the EP. Smooth and deliberately calmer, the groove eases into your soul with its infectious melodies and uplifting quality. Sublime deep house, not to be missed. Solstice rounds out the release, with a deep, gritty vibe. Punchy kicks and crispy percussions lay the foundation for harsh FX and trippy synths to control the narrative. Sporadic bass plucks add a layer of warmth that draws you in. A solid slice for the late-night session.

Mario Neha - Synthension EP

Iman Deeper returns to Monog with the superb Closer To You EP. This one follows his last effort here, on remix duties for Dennis Allen’s Midnight Turn from the Summer of 2021. Iman left Iran to pursue his dreams and find his place in the musical world. In 2008 he settled in Berlin, where he continues his musical journey having spent time in several other cities around Europe and the Middle East. To date, he boasts a raft of releases on top labels and also runs his own imprint, Deep Locus Records with fellow artist Hubrist. In 2021 he launched his own label – Deed Music, which aims to bring together seasoned, as well as up-and-coming artists.

The release opens with the title track, Closer To You, which sets the scene for a trip deep into house with warm rolling grooves. Arpeggiated fragments and thick low-end basses are joined by enchanting vocals to create an emotive streak in the sound as gritty sequences add contrast. Walk Of The Walkyries is up next, delivering a solid groove that will definitely keep the late-night floors moving. A moody groover, punchy kicks and fluttering percussions create a flowing rhythm which lay the foundation for warm, subby basses and airy pads. Soft melodies sit in the background, contrasting with darker phrases beautifully. Rounding out the release, Haoma aka Behnam Zekavat marks his Monog debut with a tight remix on Walk Of The Walkyries. His musical journey began in the early 2000’s when he picked up a guitar. Haoma has been on the Iranian scene for over two decades and in 2021, he entered a new phase with his music being released on Deed Music, a place where he showcases his unique style. On the remix here, we’re treated to a solid workout on the floor thanks to chunky beats and flurries of exotic percussions. The track carries a superb rhythmic flow which is manifested in the cacophony of drums on offer. Subtle melodies add intrigue while darker elements deliver that introspective vibe.

Iman Deeper - Closer To You EP

Russian producer Vova Gridin joins us at Monog Records with the superb Tiara EP. While we don’t know much about this relative newcomer, what we do know is hugely impressive. Since 2019 he’s churned out a raft of release, almost exclusively on Dutch imprint, Compulsive Movement Records. The quality of his sound is intriguing which has led to great support from many around the world and we’re delighted to have him here.

The Original Mix of Tiara opens the release, taking us into an eclectic, vibrant and colourful world of sound. Tight beats and a deep droning bassline draw us in. Emotionally charged with a distinctly positive vibe, the groove is warm and inviting, just the tonic for the darker days.

Berlin based DJ, producer Lee Jones marks his Monog debut with a solid remix of Tiara. Lee has enjoyed great success over the years, since 2006 his tracks have graced many top labels and are championed by top jocks all over. He runs his own outfit called Mad As Hell, which focuses in on the organic sound. Great to have him on board. Here, Lee delivers a solid interpretation, opening the track with a mesmerizing arpeggio before a deep, subby bassline takes over. Beautifully sweet melodies flow through as emotive chord changes pull on the heartstrings. The perfect feel-good factor groove.

Diadem is a wonderfully rich, dynamic slice that filling the spectrum with an array of colourful sounds. Driven by a strong kick drum and crispy hat combo, warm, melodic arps wash over the groove as harmonising segments create depth and feeling. Top-notch stuff.

Dennis Allen returns to Monog Records after a bit of a hiatus with the fantastic, Listening To The Stars EP, which follows his impressive debut from 2018, Tree Of Self EP. Dennis grew up listening mostly to Hip Hop through the 90’s, and by the year 2000 he started to produce, learning instruments and finding his niche within the scene. He soon swayed towards electronic dance music where he discovered an urge to DJ and found himself playing top clubs in his home town. He still doesn't know where this love of music came from, he didn't come from a very musical family and wasn't taught instruments as a child. One thing is true, the typical Dennis Allen sound is a symbiosis of abstract elements and percussive tones, which he likes to form into a driving mass, laying on deep surfaces and accentuated with spherical sounds.

Italian artist Airbas kicks off the EP with his interpretation of Listening To The Stars. No stranger to Monog, he delivered the superb Lost In Love EP alongside Uglytakeone just a few short months ago. On the remix here, he dishes out a smooth, deep, flowing groove, made up of silky basses, mesmerizing arpeggios and beautifully rhythmic beats and percussions which are accentuated by enchanting vocals. The original Mix of Listening To The Stars is next, with Dennis taking us deep into the groove with haunting sounds and captivating voices. Sharp synth plucks slice through the low frequencies, contrasting brilliantly against a solid drum and percussion arrangement. Next up, we have Dennis’ second track, Midnight Turn with a solid remix from Iman Deeper who delivered a tight remix of LaTriq’s The Night Kitchen EP back in the Summer of 2020. Here, Iman eases us into the groove with punchy breaks and swirling atmospheres. A plucky bass is joined by mystical motifs before the 4x4 beat comes through, setting the groove alight, bringing us deeper into the abyss. Rounding out the release, we have the Original Mix of Midnight Turn, which offers up a warm, embracing groove. Deep, hypnotic basses rule as delicate melodic notes scatter throughout. Hair-raising vocals accompany the hypnotic groove making this an absolute must have.

Berlin based DJ and producer Patryk Molinari steps up for remix duties and gives Verana his 303 Treatment. Patryk knew electronic music would be a big part of his life from an early age. His late teenage years would become the moment he realised this passion was so strong and he started to produce his own music. He was influenced by the Big Beat scene but soon discovered house music opting for the deeper shades within the genre. He has released a plethora of top notch cuts across various labels in the last several years and shows no signs of letting up, definitely an artist to keep tabs on. As you'd expect from the remix title we're treated to a healthy dose of vintage 303 acid. A chunky kick drum leads the way as a meandering acid line coasts in the background over a superb thick bass. Cool FX, gated synths and swirling pads add colourful textures but it's the acid that gets under your skin giving this track a unique flavour. Top notch stuff you do not want to miss.

Just Her is a very much in-demand DJ, producer and musician, her stellar songwriting and engineering work with Him_Self_Her has propelled her into the upper reaches of the underground music scene. She has seen releases with world class labels such as Toolroom, Crosstown Rebels and Suara and gained a wealth of Beatport chart positions, an Essential New tune on Radio 1 and gigs all over the world. Here she delivers yet another deep and melodic slice house music utilising that soft, raw vocal from Piermaria. Tender beats lead the way driving a tight drum section that generates a steady rhythm. Deep droning basses dominate the sound while melancholic pads and brighter melodies sweep by. A truly hypnotic piece that will be perfect for those late night sessions.

Monog's next release features label bosses Joal and Bruno Otranto alongside the talented Piermaria Chapus and their sublime The Landscape Is Fading EP. DJ and producer Bruno Otranto joined Monog as Joal's partner in crime at the start of 2017, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table with that same commitment and penchant for quality. Berlin based musician, composer, songwriter and producer Piermaria Chapus provides the vocals on this release, with great effect. A hugely talented artist in his trade he has worked alongside Joal in the past for material on Selador and no doubt we're in for a real treat with this one.

Finally we have the title track, The Landscape is Fading which intros with a real nice, rich, well rounded kick drum alongside stuttering hi hats and layering percussions. Dark pads fade in as subtle melodies begin to appear. Distant vocals create a wonderful hair raising moment that blends effortlessly into the groove and providing a melancholic edge to the sound. A solid, deep rooted track that will not disappoint.

Nyvs is back at Monog with another tasty treat in the form of the delicious The Beautiful Way To Adenadurna. We last had the pleasure of hosting his works back in March 2016 with his A To The Alpha EP and prior to this he had the honour of being Monog's 50th release alongside Sugark with their Arco-Iris EP in 2015. Nyvs started listening to various forms of music, from hip hop to punk and rock to electronic, but it was electronic music that caught his ear and he grew into this sound more and more. Now, totally hooked, he has been twiddling the knobs for over 10 years, happily surrounded by his music gear and losing himself in a world of endless possibilities. Here the track sets out with a nicely tweaked kick drum and sharp hi hat combi finished off with scattered percussions that give the rhythm a dynamic feel. In the background we find sweet melodic pads and keys that stand out beautifully against the deeper elements. The main lead is strong with striking chords and keys drawing a lot of attention. A solid slice that will not disappoint.

We welcome back HedUbble to Monog with the impressive Looking Into EP. This one comes just a few months after his last effort - Dreams EP and is his 4th outing here since 2014. Having grown up listening and capturing sounds from several genres HedUbble's early days were more about deep house sounds, but with different influences and experiences, it's now more a mixture of techno grooves and deep house atmospheres. He is constantly working on new original projects and remixes, as well as always putting effort to innovate his personal music aesthetics. Always a pleasure to have him here at Monog.

ID Ensemble marks his Monog debut with a stunning remix on Looking Into. A self-taught musician with unparalleled attention to detail, Filip Kaczmarek believes that every note has a perfect place in musical composition. Filip’s productions used to have a very distinctive percussion sounds - easy to spot, easy to remember. This is where ID Ensemble steps in, it's one of the few projects which Filip runs in parallel, although this one is heavily influenced by the Berlin sound. It was created as an expression of the need to break free from the previous musical badge, he felt a great urge to explore new sounds and constantly develop as an artist. This guy is destined to be noticed and heard by a wide audience, be sure to check his releases and judge for yourself. Here the remix intros with a sharp metallic hat alongside a strange arp and a massive kick. Soft chords fade in as a deep probing bassline rises up from the depths. The chords are beefed up to deliver a solid stab as the bassline evolves becoming a groovy mover. Deep house style pads fill out the background adding smooth textures which are in contrast to the thumpy nature of the main groove. A fantastic effort that will become a firm favourite for many.

LA based DJ and producer Sam Jaspersohn debuts on Monog with a top-notch remix on Reborn. Sam was exposed to electronic music when he was 15 and he began to mix with vinyl since then. His career soon blossomed with a coast-to-coast following. He has received praise for tracks like Islands which featured on Digweed’s Bedrock 18-Signals compilation in 2016. His works have also been championed by a host of other top artists and he has appeared on top labels around the world. On the remix Sam takes us down the rabbit hole with a wondrous display of musical composition made up of deep, dark and lush tones. A solid drum section sets up a smooth rhythm while mesmerizing pads and sub shaking basses go to work. Mary’s vocal rings true throughout adding a beautiful organic flavour. An excellent track that is not to be missed.

Belarus born artist Kostya Outta returns to Monog with the fantastic Rolling Stone EP. This one follows his excellent debut with a remix on Pysh – Starkiller. Kostya has a unique take on house music, he blends space age melodies with deep soulful grooves. His work is very much from an emotive standpoint, mesmerizing and deep and is supported worldwide. He plays regularly at festivals around Europe and you can hear his DJ sets on various radio stations each month.

The Original intros with a very nice punchy kick and sharp hi hat combi alongside a very subtle spacey pad. Rhythmic percussions start to layer up as a very warm, probing bassline makes its presence known. You get a feel for the groove as the bassline evolves into a solid groovy mover. In the background soft melodics lie within simple arpeggiated notes causing a great effect to the sound. A wonderful straight up tech house joint with a bit of cheeky funk on the low end that will be a welcome addition in any set.

Kasper has been working on his sound for quite some time, traversing many genres, resulting in a unique blend of happiness, darkness and emotions. He has established a unique signature as a designer of infectious beats, syncopated rhythms and impelling melodies. With support from the likes of Guy Mantzur, Khen, Guy J, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Navar, Sonic Union, Marc Poppcke, Tim Engelhardt, D-Nox, BOg, Chicola and many others this man is starting to make quite a name for himself as a producer. We’re delighted to have him at Monog.

Loud Silence wastes no time in locking us in with a tight kick drum and shuffling hi hat combi on the intro. Cool percussions form up alongside a dark rising pad creating tension. A superb probing bassline fades in, becoming the infectious centrepiece of the track and delivering a hypnotic groove. The track is a beautifully crafted slice bordering the progressive/melodic techno divide, bringing a captivating moment to the listener. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

PatriceVanDenBerg returns to Monog with the excellent Nothing To Hide EP where he joins forces with Lorenzo Zoeter and Moritz Mauritz and with a remix from Luis Bravo.  This one follows the superb Sound Chaser EP from the Summer of 2018 and will no doubt be just as popular. A veteran on the house music scene for many years, he started to release music in 1992 and hasn’t looked back since. He first got involved in house music in 1990 as a guitar player for the band Mad Doc 20/20. He went on to release under several monikers on a plethora of quality labels while dabbling in different styles, carving out a niche for himself with a diverse sound that grabbed a lot of attention. Lorenzo Zoeter collaborates on Nothing To Hide and this Amsterdam native brings a wealth of experience to the table. He started his career after meeting up with Patrice in 1993. Their first release was as Syrinx on the famous Dutch label Conamus. He then started his solo-project called Sibilant which was very successful also. Moritz Mauritz joins Patrice on Be Free. Residing in Berlin, Dutch DJ and producer Moritz has been producing electronic music since 2007. He has worked with Patrice also in the past and together they have notched up some very impressive work indeed. Both Lorenzo and Moritz are debuting with this one and we’re delighted to have them on board.

The Nothing To Hide Original Mix delivers a much darker vibe with its murky basses and deeper groove. Tight beats and rhythmic percussions lead the way as a deep, meandering bassline dominates the low end. Striking chord stabs litter the sound, adding a classic vibe while space-age pads take us higher. A real moody slice with epic qualities that is not to be missed.

The Original Mix of Sin is up next and right from the off we’re drawn into its alluring gaze thanks to captivating sounds and mesmerizing sequences. Solid beats lead the way in a smooth, slow tempo while a bubbling bassline shores up the low end. Subtle melodies fade in and out along with sweeping pads creating a unique atmosphere. A rich and vibrant gravelly vocal from Evelynka is the big hitter here though, delivering an emotive narrative with cool phrasing. Top notch stuff that is not to be missed.

We welcome Stefan Braatz to the Monog stable on remix duties for Sin. He gives us the fantastic Diva Mix which is a fired up and energetic rendition in contrast to the original. Stefan became interested in electronic music around 1994 after listening to radio shows and attending legendary clubs in Berlin. Toying with different genres he put on parties with friends. Discovering Acid House was what really captivated him, steering him towards production which led to a plethora of releases on several labels. A much-respected artist on the scene, it’s great to have him here at Monog. On the remix here, we intro with punchy kick drums and bright, crispy hi hats which join up to deliver a solid, rhythmic flow. A plucky bassline rolls in alongside hypnotic piano notes that accent beautifully against the darker tones in the track. The bassline transforms into an acid laden sequence giving the track a truly dynamic edge. The amazing vocal is used brilliantly, adding character to the sound in the all the right places. This is a track for the late-night session that will keep the party moving, no doubt.

First up we have the smooth, sultry vibes of Love which are carried along on a bed of tight beats and soulful grooves. On the low end we find a deep probing bassline which saunters through the sound accompanied by subtle chord stabs and soft melodies. Rich pads grace the background adding depth and texture while the vocal melts into the groove and ultimately into your soul. A beautiful slice that will not disappoint.

Dusterr aka musician and producer Tyler Oliver debuts on Monog Records with the superb Intertwined EP. When this one dropped into the office it created instant excitement and, the boss loves it so much he considers it to be his favourite Monog release so far. Dusterr showcases only his second release with this one and we’re hugely impressed with his creativity. His music interweaves the magic of human connection, consciousness, time and creation and, his songs are nostalgic for a future we have yet to create. An intriguing artist with an appealing sound, we hope to see and hear more from him soon.

Atelier Francesco debuts on Monog Records with a remix of Dusterr’s The Baptism which is the second cut from this stellar EP. Atelier has longed to grace the grounds of a planetary place - somewhere oxygenated, somewhere gravitationally unchallenged, somewhere with dancefloors he could invade. He began in the depths of darkness to emulate and to craft the vibrations and sounds of our planet before he decided to master dark and moody grooves, creating his own unique live act. His deep house and tech house grooves have featured on several labels including Cocoon Recordings, Cityfox and Get Physical among others where he has already carved out a solid reputation. Great to have him on board. Here, Atelier lets us into his world, allowing us access to the solid gritty sounds which take us on a surreal journey. A steady flowing rhythm is formed with a tight drum arrangement which is laced with a myriad of cool FX and single shot percussions. The mid-range is dominated by a hypnotic synth as a simple bass lurks on the low-end. Chilling vocals captivate, taking us deeper and deeper and locking us in for the duration. A definite must have for the more serious floors.

Finishing up this EP we have the Original Mix of The Baptism which intros with a mesmerizing Sitar-like pluck and tribal chanting. Darker tones begin to show up, creating a rich and intriguing sound. Chunky kick drums are joined by rhythmic percussions and a smooth chugging bassline which drives the groove. A dark beckoning vocal dominates as eerie Blues style guitar licks deliver that final surreal touch to the groove. A monster tune that will not disappoint.

The Original Mix takes us on a deep and thought-provoking journey in an enlightening encounter. A smooth, rhythmic drum section keeps time as a deep, sub-level bassline rocks the low end. Hair-raising melodies, deftly delivered by striking piano chords and soft notes create emotion while delicate vocals add character to the sound. A sublime piece that will definitely turn a few heads.

Alléz Alléz is an inspiring track filled with rich melodies, tribal elements and a sprinkling of Ethnic flavour. Tight beats lead the way as a warm, deep and exotic bassline sets the tone of the groove nicely. Sweet, melodic arpeggios cascade through the track alongside epically charged pianos, generating a sense of accomplishment and euphoria. A vibrant and upbeat house joint that will not disappoint.

We welcome Jelly For The Babies and Buba to Monog Records with the superb debut Emocija EP. Both these guys have amassed extensive back catalogues over the years, garnering much respect from their peers. From a young age, JFTB was into electronic music and, since 2007, he has been honing his studio skills in the production of various genres of music. He manages three labels and boasts worldwide support. Buba is considered one of the most promising producers to come out of Montenegro. Currently he is enjoying the release of his studio album – Dreamlands, and we’ve no doubt his creativity will grab a lot of attention. We’re delighted to have both on board.

The Original Mix of Let creates a solid, driving break beat groove. Chunky beats and bright hats are joined by exotic percussions which takes us deeper into the vibe. Dark stabs and a strong, pulsating bass lead us deeper as cosmic synths add a melodic charm to the groove. The break adds serene beach ambience as the synths open up for maximum impact before the beats return for the duration. Not to be missed.

First up on the remix we have Christopher Ivor's Daydream version of Let. Christopher is no stranger to Monog having debuted here with The Dreamscape EP. Growing up with music steered him to take the DJ, producer path he is on now. Over the years his style has become very broad and eclectic and this is something we love to celebrate. Here, Christopher delivers a beautifully composed and enchanting cut with a distinct Balearic vibe that makes you long for a trip to the White Isle. Buttery smooth beats and warm basses are joined by sounds of the beach and that rich, whispered yet hair-raising vocal. Melodic arpeggios become infectious as we’re lured into the mesmeric groove. Top-notch stuff that does not disappoint.

The Original Mix of Talas is a deeper affair, with sub level basses droning on the low end. The bass produces a powerful response with emotive changes, complimenting the rising and intense strings and synths. Rhythmic percussions and a nice punchy kick force you to move while the tensions rise. The break unleashes the full force of the stacked synths, taking us to a higher plain and making this an absolute must have.

Mario Neha debuts on Monog with a wonderful remix of Talas. Switzerland based DJ, producer Mario, boasts a wide and varied catalogue of releases over the years. He runs his own imprint called Inyan Music, releasing quality cuts at every turn. Great to have him here. On the remix here, Mario adds an extra sprinkling of grunt to the groove with those plucky synth basses which are contrasted with wispy pads and scattered FX. Rich and dynamic, the track exists on a multi-layered construction moving between the light and the dark with changing emotions. Beautifully worked and deftly executed, this one is a must have.

Gale Talk aka Hector Bermejo returns to Monog Records with the fantastic Defiance EP. This one follows his debut with us a couple of years ago, a remix for HedUbble’s Dreams. With a passion for the exotic sounds he began making his first musical productions at the age of sixteen, these productions were hip hop, house, and techno, among others. His musical influences range from San Diego ́s Soul Music to the bizarre sounds of the classic Warp label. Hector has taken his love for all kind of styles to develop a very personal musical concept. In his role as producer he has worked for labels like Blackplace, Esperanza Records, Ipologica, Phase Insane, or Pong Music. He also works on a project called Ausdrücke with his friend and collaborator Galman. As a DJ he has played in many venues across the globe from Israel to Uruguay, always leaving a pleasant memory among clubbers. We're very happy to have him back at Monog.

The Original Mix of Defiance shakes up the dancefloor with a spritely vibe. Chunky beats and shuffling percussions add rhythms as melodic chords cascade. Rippling, arpeggio basses fade up, creating a rich tapestry, enhancing the groove with depth and feeling. A real classic vibe seeps out of the track, drawing us deeper into the sound. Aman Anand debuts here with a solid remix of Defiance. Spending his time between India and Singapore, Aman’s productions blur the line between electronica, progressive house and deep techno, blending these different sounds together in his own, unique way. His tracks have seen support from celebrated artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Secret Cinema and more. The self-taught mechanics of dance music for this young musician has started to translate itself into releases on reputable international imprints such as Sudbeat, Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music and Mango Alley to name a few and he has been billed in many clubs around India and Singapore. On the remix here, Aman takes the groove deeper, churning out a smooth slow burner for the late-night sessions. Driven by solid beats and crispy hats on top of a bed of strong percussions, the interpretation draws on the original elements in a subtle way while keeping the body moving. Pulsating basses and stabbing chords are complimented by wistful pads, creating a contrasting vibe. Top-notch stuff and a must have.

The Brightest Side rounds up the EP, striking a plush, sonic driven groove. Rich and atmospheric, the vibe moulds around an arpeggiated framework of cascading synth plucks. The musical elements widen as filters open up while a strong, warm bass shores up the low end. A construction of lively percussions lets the rhythm loose on this classic sounding mover that does not disappoint

Monog Records is a music label based in Berlin, which aims to create a unique connection with it’s artists and their music. Each relationship we have with our artists is treasured as much as the last. We want to be there for all occasions by connecting promising and established artists, building the ground, supporting each other and sharing our love as a family alike.

Our name comes from the word "Monogamy", the state of having only one partner at any one time. In many cases, this word is used to refer specifically to marital monogamy and this is what we are about. We define Monogamy not as a death sentence but as an idea of sharing the same path together. Monog Records seeks to refine the concept and turn it into a “Musical Monogamy”: two individuals/parties with one shared music soul.

The owl is our mascot, our guide, and our loyal friend. This monogamous night hunter is a symbol of wisdom and mystic force. We believe that features of the owl lie closely with the values of Monog, and as such, it has become the symbol of our label.

Monog Records was created in 2010 by Joal and re-launched in 2018 by Bruno Otranto.

Monog do not follow any specific Electronic music trend. What matters to us is being able to support you by accepting who you are, the seeds you have sown in the past to get you where you are and with that you will continue to have the opportunity to freely express yourself through your music.
