Dennis Allen debuts on Monog with the superb Tree Of Self EP which also features a solid remix from Martin Patiño. DJ and producer Dennis grew up listening mostly to Hip Hop through the nineties. By the year 2000 he started to produce, learning instruments and finding his niche within the scene. One thing is true, the typical Dennis Allen sound is a symbiosis of abstract elements and percussive tones, which he likes to form into a driving mass, laying on deep surfaces and accentuated with spherical sounds. Welcome to Monog Records.

The Original Mix of Tree Of Self takes us on a sublime journey filled with wondrous moments and mesmeric sounds. Blissfully aware of all around, the groove melts deep into your soul. A smooth rhythmic drum section leads the way while swirling pads control the mid level frequencies. A little while ago we launched a project to help up-and-coming producers to keep their mind occupied to get through the lockdown a little easier and the result of it exceeded our expectations.
We are proud to present you an outcome of this adventure - an EP with tracks from three producers from across the globe who easily translated their passion into a magnetic sound. They take you on a melodic ride through 3 beautifully crafted tracks that transport you to a deeper place, be that through your headphones or on the dancefloor. Atmospheric melodies, catchy leads, driving rhythms, spiraling hooks and alluring textures - this has something for everyone, something that may help illuminate the path in the darkness (which is what this project was about all along).

Monog Records is a music label based in Berlin, which aims to create a unique connection with it’s artists and their music. Each relationship we have with our artists is treasured as much as the last. We want to be there for all occasions by connecting promising and established artists, building the ground, supporting each other and sharing our love as a family alike.

Our name comes from the word "Monogamy", the state of having only one partner at any one time. In many cases, this word is used to refer specifically to marital monogamy and this is what we are about. We define Monogamy not as a death sentence but as an idea of sharing the same path together. Monog Records seeks to refine the concept and turn it into a “Musical Monogamy”: two individuals/parties with one shared music soul.

The owl is our mascot, our guide, and our loyal friend. This monogamous night hunter is a symbol of wisdom and mystic force. We believe that features of the owl lie closely with the values of Monog, and as such, it has become the symbol of our label.

Monog Records was created in 2010 by Joal and re-launched in 2018 by Bruno Otranto.

Monog do not follow any specific Electronic music trend. What matters to us is being able to support you by accepting who you are, the seeds you have sown in the past to get you where you are and with that you will continue to have the opportunity to freely express yourself through your music.
