El protagonista es el bizkaitarra Yeray Portillo, conocido por su alias Radithor, un habitual de las cabinas electrónicas en Euskadi desde hace más de 15 años, además de cofundador del sello Eclectic Reactions y del fanzine Uhin. Otro de los proyectos en los que formó parte fue Distopia Club y tuvo el honor de inaugurar la primera edición del Mugako Festival.

Named after the now-infamous parties he runs in Berlin with his wife Hayley, it promises electronic music from the very edge.

frank bretschneider’s new project SINN + FORM (MEANING AND FORM) is based on the idea of a fundamentally chaotic world as we know it from mathematical or physical theories and models (dynamical systems, probability theory, stochastic systems), and the constant attempt of man to recognize and to describe, predict, control and change this world.

musically, this system is simulated electronically using a modular synthesizer system. various modules produce a constant flow of randomly generated data that modulate the decisive musical parameters (pitch, note length, volume, tone). the attempt of SINN + FORM in this context is to transform this stream of events into a musically relevant system of chaos and order, dynamics and statics, content and form by means of an improvised but deliberate process of constant control and influence.

aesthetically, the project recalls the electronic music of the mid 20th century: studios such as the IRCAM in paris, stockholm’s EMS (elektronmusikstudion), the WDR »studio for electronic music« in cologne, or new york’s »columbia- princeton electronic music center«. SINN + FORM also captures the dynamics and energy of a spontaneous improvisation, last but not least as a reaction to a complex world, a world in permanent crisis.

Blankstairs is pleased to announce the release of 'Pathfinder', the latest record from Washington State resident Archivist. 'Pathfinder' is Archivist's second release on Blankstairs, following 2015's  'Migration', which Impose Magazine celebrated as offering listeners “the possibility of transcendence.” Archivist's new record is no different, featuring three original deep techno tracks along with a remix by Bunker NY resident Eric Cloutier. With 'Pathfinder', Archivist shows himself to be one of the West Coast's most intense and interesting techno producers.

Opening the record is “Klamath”, which rises gently out of the darkness before overtaking the listener with its percussive power. Channeling the Washington landscape, the track is a rich and hypnotic ride that flows like a landslide before finally returning to a state of rest. 'A Rogue Moon' is a ghostly trip down shadowed trails, as euphonic echoes and esoteric strings find space in the tracks cavernous kicks, making it perfect for late nights and early mornings.

The second side features two takes of the title track 'Pathfinder'. The original version shows Archivist's ability to temper a peak time tune, with rolling rhythms and cacophonous stabs of chords that boulder over the listener, leaving little left in its wake. Eric Cloutier closes the EP by rebuilding 'Pathfinder' into a clean, cutting cleaver, proving that Cloutier is just as powerful as a producer as he is a DJ.

BST014 will be released in 12" and Digital formats on February 19th, 2016.

With this in mind, we are thrilled to welcome one of its founders, Bocksrucker to our ‘Delayed with…’ mix series. Bocksrucker’s unique style of slow-burning leftfield and IDM is something that we have a sweet spot for here at Delayed, and his selection today is quite special. Immaculately executed, this mix is a definition of storytelling. Obscure electronica, eerie vocals, and complex grooves go just perfectly with gloomy weather outside.

Victor Martínez se encarna detrás de su alter ego: “Error Etica”, responsable y dueño del mítico sello nacional Psychoskunk recordings, productor, ingeniero de sonido y discjockey. Todo un referente de la escena de música electrónica en el norte de España, con una carrera profesional que abarca más de 20 años, trabajo como dj habitual en clubs míticos de los 90´s y principios del 2000 en la zona norte como +&+, Pravda o Pagoa, con más de 30 trabajos discográficos a su espalda, ha recorrido míticos clubs y festivales en todo el mundo destacando Tresor y Suicide Circus (Berlín), Contra (Seoul), Reverb (Londres), Moog (Bcn), Cassette (Madrid), Lärm (Budapest), Curk (Praga), Gamma club (Turín), Detached y Tensail en Leeds, por mencionar algunos y festivales de electrónica como Mugako (España) y Alkototabor (Hungría). 

Ha realizado trabajos realmente punteros y meritorios para sellos importantes en la escena techno internacional como: Redsonja, Tsunami, Reclaim Your City, Pole Group,  Nachtstrom, Schallplatten, Sect London, Subsist, Granulart, Sonntag Morgen o Pohjola por destacar algunos, compartiendo dichas referencias con algunos de sus ídolos y productores favoritos. 

Siempre fiel a su estilo y su filosofía Victor se ve inmerso en una evolución constante y contracorriente, obligado a desarrollar diferentes ámbitos de la creación audiovisual contemporánea, llevando acabo diversos trabajos muy meritorios en el campo cinematográfico, realizando bandas sonoras para documentales y la producción musical en diversos cortometrajes, trailers, anuncios publicitarios, making offs, etc.... 

Actualmente está sumergido paralelamente a Error Ética en varios proyectos, uno con el alias "Slaugh†ered Sain†" (Santo Sacrificio), donde desemboca su faceta más sentimental y profunda, trazando tintes y estructuras que van desde la brutalidad del sonido Noise de Pan Sonic hasta el Dark Wave y el sonido industrial de los 80's como: Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Psychic TV, Death in June, Skinny Puppy, Klinik, Explendor Geométrico, etc... Subrayándolos con breaks enrevesados de IDM y drones con un aire maléfico y depravado.   
Su primer álbum con este proyecto: "Odio y desprecio" está editado en el sello de St. Petersburgo "La Notte di Architetto". 

Su segundo proyecto paralelo es: K3RN3L PØISSØN enfocado al Drum&Bass–Techno, Dubstep y a la electrónica más experimental y de vanguardia, con compases que salen del 4x4 dando lugar a tresillos y medios tiempos, breaks y texturas creadas con programación de síntesis digital y experimentación con la síntesis modular, y donde han tomado importancia las Audio Apps en IOS, su primer trabajo con este alias llamado “Hierarchy”, lo ha editado en el sello Madrileño Redsonja. 

 Un tipo que se aleja de tendencias y modas, mostrando una crudeza profunda, oscura y con energía, ¡Mucha energía!

Monday Off mainstay Cory James returns for a meditative and shadowy EP that tenderly unfurls with the haunting and melodic "Avila," followed by the subtle psychedelic skittering of "Bubble Nebula." The core motifs of "Bubble Nebula" are then re-worked throughout the wave-like ebb and flow of "Bubble Nebula Eyes Down," and Italy's Ruhig remixes the release's title track into a pounding workout of shifting grooves and tensile atmospherics.

Suction Records welcomes Roger Semsroth back to the label - having previously released 2 full-length albums with us under his retired electro-pop alias, Skanfrom. “Grøndal” (suction051) is the debut vinyl release under a new alias, Nordvest. These days, Semsroth is best-known for his stark and minimalist techno project, Sleeparchive. The material on Grøndal - icy, melodic, and mostly beatless - is comprised of tracks that were originally released digitally as Sleeparchive, via Bandcamp. The releases were met with general disinterest from Sleeparchive fans, prompting Semsroth to re-brand them as Nordvest, before removing them from Bandcamp altogether.

We’ve chosen 11 highlights from 3 of those digital albums, “Rooftops & Chaotic Streets”, “Scribbles”, and “Sleepless”, for a cohesive 11-track LP of austere, synthetic ambience. Think Tangerine Dream as reinterpreted by Incunabula-era Autechre, and you might be getting somewhere close. While “Rooftops & Chaotic Streets Seven” recalls Sleeparchive, and “Sleepless Six” could very well be a lost Skanfrom track, the rest of the LP clearly warrants a new alias - Nordvest is a new side of Semsroth that we haven’t heard before.
