The title hints to Douglas Fairbanks movie from 1919 where a man battles fear, despair, inner demons in his pursuit of the unquenchable love he feels towards to woman of his life. In a similar orbit, we find the monolog monikers intention with this EP - mediating dark tales and a new array of nightmares put in audio with small rays of light coming through the heavy clouds. The listener is rolled by blistering fast drum and bass tracks and half step experiments, hitting you with such low end and detail you sense the motion blur and the vile soundscapes pierce your skin. Yet again Mads Lindgren aka Monolog steps up the level of production and achieves a new height of fidelity and a new level of grit and damage in the bass lines, carefully woven together with field recordings and textural layers of the world that surround us. Subtrakt proudly presents When the clouds roll by.
