'Lost On You welcome Alex Cecil with his new 'Microdreaming', a stripped-back gem that won't disappoint.

'Microdreaming' starts off nicely, with its uplifting mood-lifting you from the first beat through beats and harmonies that will transport you back to those party days when the party is in full swing. The track twists effortlessly, while the vocals sit superbly on top adding an extra layer of groove.

'Oneironaut' is a furious and piercing weapon, mixing dancefloor functionalism with raw and distorted sounds. The resulting cut is a slice of electronica fuelled by a few techno tweaks, with as many faces as a Rubik's cube, as well as bass cuts, distorted chops with muffled effects, and vocals that keep things interesting throughout.

The EP is a highly accomplished piece of work that proves Alex Cecil is a true master of his craft. With two unique tracks, "Microdreaming" sends a clear message of emphatically sustained musical relevance to warm the soul that should not be missed.'

'Temples is a tempting invitation into another world, full of light and movement. From the second the synth comes in this track has got us deep in its pocket. Shotter manages something that is hard to achieve - he has us floating completely, yet steadily carried by tip-toeing metallic rhythm elements and the relentless swells of bright synths. The game changer in the second half is a new, gritty bass quality, which couldn’t roll in any more fiercely. At its fullest the track has us in an uncompromising trance, a relentless movement that we don’t ever want to escape from. Breaking back down to pleasantly gentle hi-hat reverb-tails and inducing synth patterns Temples lets us down easy, with the unspoken promise to return.

Ueno claims the room to itself completely and immediately. The rise and fall of melodic synth lines lead us through a labyrinth at first, leaving plenty of space for imagination. Before we notice playful call-and-response rhythms are teasing our ears, until the track surrenders itself to an ever-growing wave of synth patterns and their behind-the-beat-delay. It climaxes into a haunting silence with tenuous high-pitched sounds and a clear outer space feel. Finally, all elements lock into a comforting groove, driving us forward, not too fast, not too slow - exactly right.

The track starts off with a blissfully nostalgic vintage-feel - slightly muffled, like the humbling quality you get from an old Technics playing your favourite LP. But don’t be fooled, Cube March is bold. And unexpected. Stomping rhythms take over quickly and full-blown gritty synth-stabs cut the air effortlessly, like blades. An unapologetic and careless pumping bass line makes us want to move with every cell in our body. Shotter demonstrates his fearlessness in experimenting with heavy contrasts and elements from different genres here. A break with tastefully placed repetitive rhythm elements is complemented by the constant ebb and flow of melody lines. Both in volume and presence they fluctuate, one handing over the spotlight to the other seamlessly, keeping us hooked until the very end.

This remix lures you away from reality in a matter of seconds, with Definition’s signature heavy hitting bass dominating. He expertly weaves shimmery fills into buoyant synth lines and brings us a skilful mix of dark minimal techno, breaks and infectious monster synth lines. Every so often, he adds a new layer, increasing the depth of the track, before letting it all crumble in a breakdown where time stops and tension grows, as we impatiently await the next rise to carry us away. The lengthy build-ups give this remix the energy to fill any room, easily. It is subtle, yet propulsive, too - a lane that Definition seems to manage regularly.'

Two years on since the release of their latest offering for the label, "Continents III", Swedish duo Elfenberg resurfaces on Stil vor Talent with "Macacos Rosas" - a four-track EP giving full room to their genre-hopping fantasies, playful persona and outside-the-box production philosophy.  Last but not least, this mouthwatering package comes complete with a remix from high-profile Mexican outfit, Zombies in Miami.

Drawing first blood, "Acid Sins Ever Since" channels a vibrant mix of energies, bending the scope between crisp breakbeat traction and 303-infused psy-ops with seamless ease. A proper bouncy joint, geared up for optimal soul and body entrancement down the basement. Proper EBM stuff by the book, laced with a hint of Detroit-influenced electro for good measure, "Bambaataa" takes us on a hectic ride with its laser-guided arpeggios painting all kinds of vivid, lysergic motifs in the sky - perfect for cosmonautical loiterings and frantic boogie sessions altogether. 

Taking Italo for a nocturnal stroll in the jungle, "Macacos Rosas" finds Elfenberg dishing out a melancholia-drenched disco workout, packed with enough all-night-ready oomph and dreamy vaporousness to withstand all types of DJ use and abuse. Adding their inimitably floor-efficient spin to the lead-single, Zombies in Miami pull out the heavy rave artillery for the occasion. A forward-dashing smorgasbord of processed Andean pipes, mystic forest sounds and powerhouse bass moves leading the charge, the Mexican duo's revamp summons visions so deep you'll have a hard time wriggling yourself out of their all-engulfing hoodoo spell.

Injecting the classic appeal of a quality Chicago jack with proper knee-buckling breaks out the 90s UK sound vault, a kosmische-friendly sense of oneiric spaciousness and distorted cowbells jingling to deadly effect, Cioz' belter of a tune oozes consenting club disintegration in the making. Delving a darker place, "Harakat" goes a more straightforward route with its immersive oriental ambience and all-terrain 4x4 adaptability, trading the main track's loping swagger for a train-like chug that keeps on delivering bar after bar, gaining an intensity that shall prove all the more fuel-efficient in the field.

Respected label Diynamic has announced the eighth edition of its popular ‘Four to the Floor’ series. 

The series aims to champion four productions that have been handpicked, road-tested and approved by label-boss Solomun. The ‘Four to the Floor’ EP series is comprised of four different dancefloor-orientated tracks from different producers, from upcoming talents to long-established electronic music artists. 

First up is ‘Zulu’ from Buenos Aires duo Brigado Crew and Argentinian producer Crisstiano. Drawing from their South American roots, ‘Zulu’ is a percussive track with a laidback yet exotic feel thanks to its echoing vocal samples.

Picking up the pace, German duo Adana Twins’ ‘Uncompromising’ features a driving bassline and clattering synths, building up in waves for a series of dramatic drops. 

Next up is Ukrainian duo ARTBAT & French producer Rafael Cerato with ‘Uplift’, a track that slowly builds ambience with flittering synths before plundering into a hefty low end. 

Rounding off the latest edition of ‘Four to the Floor’ is the atmospheric ‘Pretend To Fly’ from Definition. The 7-minute journey features wistful male vocals and distinctive arpeggios leading into the rich basslines characteristic of the Diynamic sound. With a relatively short career span, Definition has already had a slew of releases on Materialism and Underground Audio allowing his support to grow.

 With recent releases on Einmusika, Lost & Found, microCastle, Stil Vor Talent  and their latest remixes on a lot of different high quality labels it is no wonder that these two dutch heroes are welcomed guests at every occasion. Their unique mixture of cinematographic and melodic techno forms highly enjoyable rides throughout every night.

Behind Mononoid are Igor and Andy from Groningen, the Netherlands. They took the word ‘Mono’ (as in solo) and the word ‘nooit’ (Dutch for never), which basically can be translated into "never alone".
