For the first release of 2022, we are pleased to welcome Amsterdam- based Romanian Alex Preda, who already participated in Odd Echoes Vol. 3, and this time, he presents his debut EP  ̈Moons & Stars ̈ on the label with a fabulous remix by Lexer.

The Preda sound has developed over the years, with his taste developing into the electronic sounds of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis in his teens, into his signature driving techno. 

Always with an element of warmth and melody underneath and has evolved into integrating live elements into his performances, something Alex has been perfecting over the years.

The lead track Might Be Love ft. Katty Heath, is the perfect opener, full of groove and catchy melodies, that play along with the fx lead vocal, creating a super club piece.

Lexer approaches the reinterpretation of the lead track, adding new and catchy melodies, synthesizers and textures, giving his well-known stamp and taking the version to his own terrain.

Delving deeper into the EP, we find more of Alex's signature sound, but with a deeper and more emotional touch as shown in  ̈Don't Move" where the focus is on the beautiful chords that make the perfect match with the celestial synth melodies.

To close the EP we have “Searching” which is also another dance floor oriented track, fitted especially to turn the heat on the on any set. And last but not least, “Away from IT” is the perfect electronica/breaks closing track to round up this special EP.

Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

Next up we have Shanghai based artist Final Request who has been coming through the ranks at lightening speed, certainly needs no introduction. Astral Records rounds out the month of September by welcoming Eli and Dani and ZAC to the label for their first ever collaboration. Hailing from Israel, Eli and Dani have enjoyed a quick rise since first emerging from Tel Aviv's electronic underground a few short years ago. The duo's spirited take on progressive and melodic house has seen them showcase their music via Nora en Pure's Purified and Massano's Simulate Recordings. Meanwhile, Brazilian artist ZAC has enjoyed measurable success over the course of his sixteen-year career. The Santa Catarina resident's well-kept discography is highlighted by releases for Einmusika, Eklektisch, Freegrant Music and Warung Recordings. Now collaborating for the first time, Eli and Dani and ZAC join forces for their much-anticipated double A-side vehicle 'The Reflection Of Voices'. The release commences with the title track 'The Reflection Of Voices', which finds the trio layering dark stabs and deconstructed vocals over machine-gun grooves and punchy kick drums. A smooth yet exhilarating energy rises with cleverly co-axed arps carrying an astral-tinged mood into the break. Coming to full fruition across the interlude, it's a soulful vocal which plays off an impressive sequence of cosmic synth swagger, ultimately peaking as pitch-bending motifs reveal a thunderous drop and peak time style finale. The second and final selection finds Eli and Dani crafting a similarly club-effective cut 'Hypnosis'. Aptly titled, its meditative pulse and looping vocals build copious amounts of energy, as astral sonics steal the air, while grooves pulse and percussion flows into the break. Trance-inspired themes highlight the centrepeice, bringing with them a unique balance of the past and present, pushing onwards to a finale of cutting edge designs that would be equally at home above a festival skyline, or sitting in the sweet spot of a main room set.

Monoquad producer and electronic musician. He has been producing Melodic Techno music.
His interest in music started when he was a child. He played different musical instruments throughout his childhood and gained musical skills. His interest in electronic music grew in time and he started his music career in late 2000's with playing underground stages in Izmir, Turkey. After years passing by his journey to find his sound he gave the final shape to his producing process and started the Monoquad Project.
