Each full moon is an honouring of a polarity and a chance in collapsing it. An archetypal dance of opposites intended to relate in as interdependent way as possible. Waking up in all of us the themes they represent and highlighting the ways in which we may be leaning more to one side or the other. In this case the Sun, our conscious awareness, in Mar's warrior sign of Aries and the Moon in Venusian Libra, our emotional desire for peace and love. 

Standing in our power, inviting our inner fighter to the highest principles of love of self and the other and setting the goal that our self limiting patterns bite the dust once and for all. 

That's one powerful intention to dance with. 

The set ends with a 12 minute guided meditation - please ground yourself in the end.

Love & Power | Libra Full Moon

It was a great honour to play for the finest crowd in the Northern Rivers at a venue that embrace so well the mix of culture that this part of Australia has to offer. 
A country style ozi pub turned into a club for a night. The population on the dance floor is so diverse and tolerant showing a great exemple of radical self expression. 
From the OG Farmer seating behind the old wooden bar to the vibrant dancing queer queen in front of the subs, going to Nudge nudge Wink Wink at the Billinudgel Hotel is always journey out of time. 
When I arrived in the Byron Shire 6 years ago I was so happy to discover this community, 5 years ago the Cunning Stunts Team gave me my first shot with a warm up set. This time I have been offered a premium time slot and it has been really exciting.
I m so grateful to have been able to contribute to everyones good time!

One hand on the controls and the other hanging on tight. DJ'ing on top of a fluffy pink bunny at 5mph down the streets of Black Rock City shortly after sunset was one helluva ride to remember! Wide-eyed and big-eared BRC residents hopped on board as we made our way out to the open playa. The crew pulled up to a lioness with a human torso blowing fire out of its paws and I rolled out this playful side of the Apukuna sound. Bounce, smile and bounce some more friends.  To honor the lovely island of Jamaica, this dj set is simply my favorite feel good reggae tunes.  You will hear dub, conscious dancehall, lovers rock, ska,  and traditional roots reggae songs. Jamaica's musical influence is also heard in some Latin, West African, Turkish, Arabic, and Isreali tunes as well.  I really tried to tell a story with the songs, so I encourage you to listen closely to the lyrics, which speak about uniting together, becoming a better version of your self, the problems and challenges with money, the joy of smoking marijuana, everyday struggles, living good, and of course, LOVE. Almost all of these tracks I own on vinyl, and I had such a blast recording these all week long, just vibing on down memory lane, in preparation for  this set.
