From the Southside of Glasgow now the south side of Berlin, previously most notably The Burrell Connection, but also Alfie and DJ59, is now fully under the alias Dream_E.

Kicking off the self-titled vinyl and digi imprint with a mix of Breaks, House & Techno, “Crushed” follows in hot pursuit of the acclaimed “Dreams On 22” Ambient / IDM album released last year on Pace Yourself and a number of releases via longtime fellow deejays, Craigie Knowes.

A donation will be made to The Encephalitis Society following each release.

The alarm clock buzzed loudly for the fifth time, as usual the snooze button had been exhausted for as long as she could get away with it. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, squinting in the morning light that bathed her room. A familiar feeling of dread washed over her; one that didn’t seem to hit her on any other day of the week. The start of the week was always like this - uneventful and unproductive, a time for wallowing and indulging… all in all, just another average Monday.

Helsinki imprint Echocentric and Leipzig’s R.A.N.D. are joining forces for their next release, a dose of rhythmic proggy goodness from Lithuania-based producer Pletnev. Both labels know their onions - between them they’ve put out plenty of dance floor gems over the last few years from the likes of Abdul Raeva, DJ Life, Reflex Blue and Gnork. With And You Never Come Back, it’s more of the same: over four tracks Pletnev serves up squelchy, hypnotic breaks and trance-inspired rhythms, all primed and ready to bless club sound systems the world over.

IVX23 Wet Version is the reincarnation of our track Red Rock designed specifically for our live set at the final Inner Varnika Festival (RIP) 2023 in Bookar, Victoria (Djagurd Wurrung Country). It's harder, faster, longer (11 minutes and 15 seconds to be precise) and our crack at representing the special outdoor atmosphere of this mythical gathering that's become very close to our hearts.

GOTIS, the latest addition to the Monstart label, is hitting the ground running with her debut EP, 'Red Therapy'. Born in Montpellier and now based in Paris, GOTIS has quickly established herself as a key figure in the French electronic scene, moving with finesse between deep grooves and underground sounds.

Drawing on influences from the UK club scene, GOTIS delivers a resolutely dancefloor orientated production on 'Red Therapy', his 21st Monstart release. 

Designed to be a club hit and a crowd pleaser, this project is a real injection of energy, fusing the warmth of house with hypnotic techno loops and the incisive rhythms of bass music. An immersive experience destined to resonate far beyond borders, each track is designed to capture the essence of clubbing.

GOTIS : "RED THERAPY" is an EP I produced quite innocently in my old apartment in Montpellier. Initially, I had no intention of releasing it; it was more of a personal project, a sonic exploration without any pressure or constraints. The tracks on this EP blend analog and digital elements, creating a bridge between two sonic worlds.

This EP represents a solo leap into electronic production for me, after years of making rock music in a band. While it marks a new chapter in my career, electronic music has always been a passion of mine. This transitional project signifies an important shift in my musical journey, allowing me to delve deeper into a style that has always intrigued me.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Monstart for believing in my project and allowing me to release this EP today. Their support has been crucial in bringing "RED THERAPY" to life "

Victor’s Hypnotoad mix ties it together in a way that works both at home and in the club.

Monstart was born 15 years ago, out of love and celebration. The fruit of the meeting of Ouanounou (DJ) and Chatte Chatoyante (dancer-performer). 

With its pack of artists coming from all over the world, the label has been exploring club music and culture. Not caring about adhering to one specific genre, they draw from all of their combined influences to create a hybrid project.

With one idea in mind : to be together while celebrating the richness of human singularities.

Since 2009, 80 events mixing music and performances, 21 releases on the label (EPs and compilations) and a 5 years residency on Rinse France have allowed them to express their own vision of club music. After 5 years of Rinse’s residency,  Monstart is experiencing a new chapter with their homies of Piñata Radio by starting a musical journey, becoming their new monthly hosts.
