Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

With Monsters believing in the prophesy of The Absolute, a lot of them are pretty scared of Chara, knowing they could potentially be the downfall of their kind. It is, of course, up to Chara to decide what to do about this fear. Do they fight it? Or do they fight 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮?

"They Refused" was made and uploaded about 7 months ago. In that time, quite a bit has changed. Practically the whole soundtrack's been posted now, with this final week of uploads being the last to come. But also some things have changed to the lore. This song's contexts is actually one of the latest changes made. The description of "They Refused" has also been updated to reflect this.

During the Merciless route, Papyrus, in an effort to stop people from having to evacuate, tries to take matters into his own hands and stop you before you can get too much further.

(This song counts as an Extra track as it's just a slowed down version of Fighting Start!)
This song also functions as the mus_toomuch replacement in the sense that it plays when every monster in a given area has been eradicated.

For this track the inspiration once again was very anime-ish, and what better inspiration than Dragon Ball Z? This track is particularly inspired in the old Budokai Tenkaichi games, with a hint of pirate.coded sections to better fit Undyne. I really hope you enjoy this track.

(stupid) and then i found out about spamton neo and yeah, then last year (i think idk i forgor) i remembered when i thought jevil returned and i was like, i think i should make a theme for jevil replacing spamton neo in the secret boss, and i did it, cool uhm epic

Monster Mix is an Undertale AU made by a friend of mine back in 2016-2017. They've unfortunately since left the Undertale SoundCloud scene, but I still look back on this AU rather fondly. We've gone through numerous attempts of reiterating the AU, but the approach I'm taking here is having it based heavily on the oldest versions of the roles we had decided on. While the newer ones were definitely very cool too, it doesn't feel right to do that new take without them on board.

The roles will be revealed as time goes on, but there's a decent chance they're already known to quite a handful of you.
