Following on from his successful Philthy Chit alias, Perfecto Black A&R Phil introduces his new alias Phil Martyn. Sticking to his trademark sound, Chamber has a dark driving bassline, progressing towards trance influenced riffs at the breakdown. Exactly what we’ve come to expect from Phil.

Next up we have the stunning, beautiful deep trance mix from Forerunners. It’s truly a masterpiece. Real prog done at it’s best. Warm basslines complemented by beautiful riffs and arps. Fans of Guy J & Guy Mantzur will love this track.

Last but definitely not least is the Derek Howell & Peter Martin Remix. It’s an epic, heads down on the dance floor tune. A dark progressive techno tune with some incredible key changes, this one will destroy any dance floor!

Phil Martyn - Chamber (Forerunners Remix Radio Edit)

Keeping true and parallel to the musical vision of Vested as a Chicago-based music and event brand, Vested Recordings will be a home for a range of forward-thinking electronic music sounds, ranging from deep to tech-house to progressive to techno to house, with the common thread being the timeless low-end prime-mover groove that proper progressive house has always championed.

This inaugural label offering features a pair of reconstruction mixes by label head, RJ Pickens, of a truly stellar original song by Sykoya, a vibrant up-and-coming UK-based indie music collective.  The Late Night Reconstruction lends itself perfectly to play in a club or festival setting, while the more stripped-down Early Morning Reconstruction would find a suitable home at a place like Burning Man.

Sykoya are making a lasting impression both recorded and live with their timeless mixture of indie electronic and dream-pop tracks. The haunting vocals of front woman, Anna Marcella sit perfectly atop her melodic synth lines and the deep, engaging rhythm section of drummer, Curtis ElVidge and bassist, Joe Cross, making a sound well beyond the trio's size. Drawing comparisons to London Grammar, Poliça, and Massive Attack, their sound ebbs and flows seamlessly from light to dark, catching listeners between wanting to dance and sit in soft reflection.

With roots as a longtime participant in Chicago's electronic music scene, RJ Pickens is now helping shape the future of the Windy City's dance music. With over 19 years of DJ experience and tirelessly pursuing the perfect mix of progressive, tech-house, techno, and house sounds, he rocks rooms ranging from intimate to large, and can go from being the supporting act of choice for many notable global headliners (such as Eric Prydz & Pryda Friends, Hernan Cattaneo, Jody Wisternoff, Nick Warren, Erick Morillo, or Martin Roth - to name but a small few out of many) to being the headliner himself.

Way Out West (a.k.a Nick Warren & Jody Wisternoff) present their new studio album - ‘Tuesday Maybe’ - to be released on June 16th on Anjunadeep (“One of the hottest electronic labels in the world” - Hype Machine).

The pioneering duo have forged a reputation as as one of the UK’s most influential electronic acts in their 25 years together, reaching the Top 20 of the UK’s singles chart, touring their live show globally, and remixing the likes of Orbital, Unkle, James Holden, St. Etienne and Ian Brown.

In addition to their impressive collaborative back catalogue, the duo are both internationally renowned DJs in their own right. Nick runs the influential Soundgarden label and has helmed eight instalments of the iconic Global Underground compilation series. Jody released a solo album on Anjunadeep in 2012 and has since mixed the last four editions of the labels much-loved compilation series, all of which have topped the iTunes Dance Album chart.

They now return as Way Out West with ‘Tuesday Maybe’ their fifth LP, and their first in almost eight years.

Known for fusing elements of breaks, techno, trance and progressive house, Nick and Jody again combine wide-ranging influences on their new album. Title track ‘Tuesday Maybe’ has become something of a cult favourite since it’s release in early 2016, it’s haunting melody and rolling low-end becoming a firm favourite for the likes of Pete Tong, Lee Burridge and John Digweed. Parisian legend I:Cube worked his magic on an atmospheric remix that was supported by Mano Le Tough, Ricardo Villalobos and Maceo Plex.

Across the LP we hear a contemporary take on classic Way Out West elements, from raucous basslines and ravey breakbeats on ‘Set My Mind’ and ‘Slam’, to warm melodic deep house on ‘Lullaby Horizon’ and ‘We Move In The Dark’, featuring vocals from Hendrik Burkhard. The duo collaborate with five vocalists on the album, including label-mates Eli & Fur on opening track ‘Running Away’, and former Solomun collaborator Liu Bei on ‘Oceans’.

Released alongside the announcement of the album, ‘Oceans’ is a trademark piece of emotive dancefloor music from Nick and Jody, pairing textured melodies with haunting vocals.

Throughout 2017 Way Out West bring their well-honed live show to venues large and small across North America and the UK, with a notable performance at Glastonbury Festival in June the week after the album’s release.

‘Tuesday Maybe’ is set to be the eigth artist album to be released on Anjunadeep, an A&R hotbed celebrated for the release of debut LPs from Dusky, Cubicolor and Lane 8. With nearly 300 single releases and a string of iTunes #1 albums and compilations under its belt, the label has distinguished itself as one of the scene’s leading imprints, earning glowing coverage everywhere from Resident Advisor to Pitchfork, whilst receiving heavy support on BBC Radio 1 from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, B.Traits and Phil Taggart.

On the heels of the recent arrival of Sound Quelle's debut artist album ("Iridescent"), we're excited to share several visionary new interpretations of two of the standout tracks from that LP: "Iridescent" (the title cut) and "Boundless". The first in an annual series of exciting compilations, this is a landmark release for the label who recruits leading artists Matt Fax and Dezza for two thrilling mixes that feature 35 exclusive tracks showcasing the most exciting acts in Progressive, Deep and Melodic House.

On Colorscapes Volume One, Matt Fax and Dezza bring together established Colorize names like PRAANA, Andre Sobota, Anden, Sound Quelle, Boxer, Hexlogic and Milkwish with exciting label newcomers like Pete K, Murtagh, Rylan Taggart, farfetch'd, Andromedha and Tripswitch. Matt Fax brings two electrifying remixes to the compilation with 2005 techno sensation 'Rej' by German act Âme and British DJ/Producer D.O.D.'s 2018 house hit 'Glow' getting reworked in remarkable fashion. The mixes build and swell organically with both DJs flexing their talents effortlessly, creating two exhilarating mixes that will take you on a voyage into the deep and progressive.

With Matt Fax and Dezza reaching new heights as artists and becoming concrete names in the world of Progressive House, this compilation comes at an exciting time for Colorize. Since his first release on the label in 2013, Matt Fax has seen immense growth as a producer through releasing impressive, genre-expanding singles and his debut artist album Contrast in 2017, and as a DJ having played a run of shows from Europe to Asia in 2019 as well as the Progressive Stage at Electronic Family in the Netherlands. Canadian DJ/Producer Dezza has also had a whirlwind of a year, releasing his debut artist album Cosmos, a tour of Australia, ASOT900 and then playing at the Budlight Dreams festival in Toronto in June. The two artists also headlined a sold-out show at London's Oval Space in July for the first Colorize event.

Colorscapes Volume One will be supported by a launch party at London's renowned venue Egg on the 22nd of September which will see Matt Fax and Dezza headline with support from Amy Wiles, Boxer, Sound Quelle and Steve Brian pres. Cabriolet Paris. An official label event will also be held in October during Amsterdam Dance Event, followed by a North American co-headline tour from Matt Fax and Dezza that will feature other prominent Colorize artists.

Following his ‘Porteau’ release on Purified Records, Canadian producer Rylan Taggart returns to the imprint with his two-track ’Trust You’ EP. The title creation is a downtempo cut, which places a softly spoken vocal and airy synths across a deep bassline. With gentle piano chords and dispersed percussion, this touching piece is the definition of his signature sound. Flowing into ’The Room’, Rylan treats listeners to a mysterious B-side, which builds slowly across its duration. Employing a reverberating bassline and spacey synths, Rylan creates an unearthly atmosphere that once again portrays his production prowess.
