Globally acclaimed talent Shingo Nakamura recently released his "Only Silk 02" compilation on parent label Silk Digital, featuring his original track "The Four". On Silk Royal's latest single, we're thrilled to present a new remix of this cut by Sundriver, another of our imprint's most decorated veterans. He has been writing euphoric, often Balearic-tinged progressive for the better part of a decade and looks forward to an exciting 2014, with several standout remixes arriving in the new few months alone. For the second track in the release, we've invited fellow progressive trance craftsman Talamanca, a first-time contributor to Silk, to remix Shingo's classic "Sapporo". Talamanca, like Sundriver, has enjoyed wonderful radio support in his career on some of the world's leading trance-centered radio shows.

Sundriver's remix of "The Four" asserts itself right out of the gate, with a driving rhythm, while uplifting pads and arps begin to infiltrate the mid-range. By the quarter turn, a symphony of melodic elements has conspired to overpower the listener with a lush and emotive soundscape. Yet, the track highlight does not occur until the break, when we are truly swept away by a light breakbeat, coupled with a mellifluous, Ibiza-influenced guitar riff. The stunning drop to follow features all of the melodic layers in harmonic unison.

Dutch talent Talamanca also starts his remix of "Sapporo" in driving fashion. We are soon met by several of the original's most memorable themes. Talamanca succeeds in making this interpretation his own by contributing numerous new variations on the lead motifs, all of which are truly breath-taking. In the main break, a powerful, trance-influenced lead is introduced, giving his take a bit of extra muscle for the dancefloor.

Silk Royal celebrates the work of one of our most accomplished and well-known talents with "Sundriver 01", a collection of timeless tracks by the Polish phenom. Inspired by the late 90s Balearic sound of the legendary Chicane and The Thrillseekers, Sundriver has written countless uplifting, melodic trance & progressive classics over the past decade, some of which have been recognized as "Record of the Week" on Above & Beyond's "Trance Around The World" radio show (now "Group Therapy"). His contribution to Silk has been enormous. It's our great honor to showcase his work to date on this release.

The standout cuts featured on "Sundriver 01" include his breathtaking remixes of Shingo Nakamura's "The Four" and Mango's "Good Morning Track", perhaps two of his most famous compositions. Esteemed melodic progressive maestro Lumidelic ennobles our imprint with an “Ancient Amulet.” The Catalan producer, out of Barcelona, has remixed for Soluna previously, but now debuts with a captivating melodic progressive EP release.

Although not within the vicinity of the Balearic Isles, Egypt lays its head upon the breast of the greater Mediterranean, where seafarers have ventured between worlds of old and modern.  Poignant basslines and evocative melodies are the language of Lumidelic’s perceptible nature. “Ancient Amulet” is an audible jewel in which soft pads drift over these luscious basslines and melodies. Egypt and its ancient relics are oft riddled with enigmatic secrets. This “Riddle” is still a question to the world: “How does Lumidelic unearth such melodic hieroglyphs and reconfigure them into magical sounds with such polished finesse?”

Italian based man of melodies, Richard Bass, makes his way back to our Progressive House Worldwide label and anyone that has been following the melodic progressive scene over the years should know that you are in for a sun drenched progressive journey. To spice things up, 2 remarkable artists, well known for their loving skills of writing progressive music, make their way back. First is a producer that really doesn't need an introduction as he’s been hammering some fantastic music out over the past decade. We are of course as thrilled as ever to see UK based Alex H making his way back to the label.
