Lost Records have drafted in Hector Couto to helm the label’s sophomore release. Straight off the bat Hector kicks off the EP with the title track “I Believe”, a hypnotic and infectious number armed to the teeth with precise hi-hats and brooding basslines. “I Believe” cements Hector Couto’s production to an ever evolving sound while setting the stage perfectly for the follow up track “Knight Riders”.

Built on similar foundations to “I Believe”, “Knight Riders” introduces a rich soundscape, playingdeep and shadowy attributes against a field of succinct vocals and lead synth lines. Closing the EP we have remix heavyweights Waifs & Strays, 2013 being a blistering year for the production duo so far, seeing them feature on a plethora of releases. The remix ticks the boxes on what is becoming a key set of signature attributes that make up the duo’s sound, welding key features of the original and pinning them into a heavier groove whilst playing off atmospheric build ups and break downs.

Surely one of the most defining house records ever made and an out-and-out classic, Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ was first released on Soulfuric Deep, then licensed to Defected Records where it reached #8 in the UK charts. Returning to Soulfuric Deep with a package of five quality remixes, it’s clear that ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ is still resonating on dancefloors 20 years later. Flourishing duo Illyus & Barrientos present two remixes, the Last Boogie Mix introducing a piano riff and Club Refix going deep with a tougher club sensibility. Dr Packer maintains all the original’s most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Finally, Angelo Ferreri presents two mixes, with the Vocal Remix already being a favourite with DJ’s long before its release. The Vocal Remix is an undoubtedly modern take on the classic, giving it more of a peak-time feel with bouncing production and a rolling groove. Angelo’s Sweety Remix loops alternative vocal moments with looser percussion for a more laidback approach. It’s not easy to do justice to an ultimate soulful, vocal house banger but these three remixers have achieved greatness, taking this beautiful record in some welcome new directions.

Big Love label boss Seamus Haji teams up with new don on the block Sammy Deuce for this feel good disco house inspired EP. 

'Disco Crown' takes us back to the early 80's with a super infectious groove that twists and turns throughout the mix, punctuated by some emotive vocal chops and a spoken vocal taken from the early days at The Warehouse in Chicago....home to the late, great Frankie Knuckles of course. 

'Celebrate Disco' also works an early 80's vibe that will have you locked. The hook is chopped and edited to work the dancefloor with uplifting vocal stabs and a spoken vocal that refers to the golden days of disco gone by.
