MONTAG is an artist from Decatur, GA creating Indie-Folk-Rock music in a small room above a garage. Indie because it is all recorded from scratch with little thought regarding sound mixing or vocal control. Folk because it is an entirely organic form of music stemming from purely original lyrics set to a myriad of random instruments played by the artist. Rock because there is no other way to make music. The album itself is a collection of songs created in 2012 and 2013 that represent the artist's first attempt at songwriting. The ultimate goal of the album is to bring a complete end to this stage of the music creation process and to start anew with only the lessons learned and the inspiration from the experience.
