Boston-based Mere Notilde hops onto Montaime with his latest hard-hitting single, “Unlimited”.

Previously, Mere Notilde has been a rising star within various sample-based music scenes - particularly Future Funk (“Sweet Baby!”) and Lo-Fi (“Boris”). He has joined forces with various Montaime artists: Doktor Plekter’s  “Gevær (feat. Mere)” features the Boston producer’s breakneck rapid-fire sampling, and Mere Notilde’s “Draw the Line” received an energizing Nu-Disco remix from Discoholic.

Now, Mere Notilde debuts his first single on Montaime with “Unlimited”, a masterful showcase of the producer breaking plunderphonics boundaries while maintaining a hard-hitting house groove, influenced by Future Funk artists like ev.exi and French House veterans like Étienne de Crécy.

“Unlimited” starts off with a sharp bang: explosive sample work, punchy drums, and French House filters. Mere Notilde mixes in soulful vocals over spacey, hypnotizing synths that glue the whole song together for a package guaranteed to turn any listener into a fan.

Confusion

Rounding out the trio of dance floor singles is “Mono”, Mere’s newest single. As the title suggests, it starts off entirely in Mono, then fanfares into Stereo with four-on-the-floor drums and synth bass. Finely chopped guitar samples decorate the track as Mere cements himself as one of the most creative producers in the scene at the moment.

“Now That I Have You" (LP) is out on streaming platforms on 2/3/2021. Cassette tapes out 2/5/2021.
