So excited to welcome BLNDR to the series, a long-awaited delight after observing the French producer develop his magnetic and kaleidoscopic sound over the years. BLNDR's mix is glimmering and atmospheric, reflective of the patient and meticulous nature inhabiting his work as both BLNDR and his more-recent Traevor alias. Voiced in a heartfelt tone and assembled with a poet's touch, this set is a soft yet spry landing to an intense season, breathing a new air, fluttering to a new rhythm, earnest to the very end. “For this mix I wanted to capture the icy freshness of January, a month filled with new energy, bright skies, and winter’s introspection. Inspired by a trip in the mountains: cold alpine air, glittering snow, and vast expanses of rock nestled amongst forests of pine trees. I had the joy of playing a sunny afternoon set 15:00-17:30 before Konduku, so I kept things bright & groovy 🌻🧚🌞

This set features some IDM, electro and minimal tracks I haven’t played out in years, alongside recent releases I’ve been enjoying.

The whole festival was beautifully programmed and curated, and I heard many inspiring sets throughout the weekend in the iconic grounds of the Castell De Montjuïc.

We are honoured to share a deeply personal and beautiful ambient mix by Blind Observatory for Unrush. True to his signature style, this mix unfolds like an acoustic panorama - layered with cinematic textures, immersive sounds, and delicate facets of emotion. Each track flows effortlessly, as if hiking through a natural biotope of sound, moving between different atmospheres with a calm ease. This mix is dedicated to his beloved dog, Plüshka, who recently passed away:

"I compiled and recorded this set during the last weeks I had with my wonderful dog Plüshka. My true soulmate. It is a story of two tethered souls slowly untangling. About a connection getting grainy, then fuzzy and blurry before fading. A journal of our parting. It's a little tribute to my big love."

This heartfelt journey is an ode to love, loss, and the unbreakable bond between kindred spirits. We hope you enjoy the set and have a relaxed start to the week...

092 - Unrushed by Blind Observatory

As we turn the page to 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on the powerful moments that defined the Monument Festival last year. One such memory was the opening ceremony led by the incredible Sarah Wreath. A sonic experience that set the tone for connection, introspection, and renewal.

The intention behind Sarah’s live set was clear: to create a meditative space where festivalgoers could connect deeply—with one another, the natural surroundings of Veggli, and, most importantly, with themselves. It was more than music; it was an invitation to embark on a transformative journey, bridging ancient and modern worlds through sound.

Her performance blended electronic synthesis with acoustic elements, weaving together indigenous, ethereal, and psychedelic sounds. The result was a hypnotic tapestry of tribal ambient rhythms, designed to ground us in the moment while opening our hearts to new possibilities.

Central to the experience was the use of pure tones tuned to 432 Hz and 216 Hz, frequencies known for their cosmic harmony and healing properties:

432 Hz, often called “natural tuning,” resonated with the rhythm of the universe, fostering relaxation and emotional balance.

216 Hz, a harmonic counterpart, enhanced the meditative quality of the performance, drawing listeners deeper into themselves.

A standout element of the ceremony was Sarah’s use of a Chao Gong, amplified with a contact microphone and enriched with FX processing. Its deep bass frequencies (110 Hz) created a grounding effect, while layers of Tibetan singing bowls and other meditative instruments brought a celestial dimension to the soundscapes. Together, these elements formed a sonic portal—a sacred opening to the festival and the year ahead.

As we welcome 2025, we hold this memory as a symbol of renewal and intention. Sarah’s performance wasn’t just the beginning of the festival, it was a new beginning for all of us, a reminder of the power of music to heal, connect, and inspire.

Here’s to carrying that spirit of harmony and connection forward into the new year. May 2025 bring even more moments that resonate with the heart and soul.
