Souvenir de mon set joué le 17 novembre 2023 au Cabaret Vauban, à Brest, lors de la soirée "Cabaret Sonique" organisée par Sonic Floor @astropolis_records ! 

15 premières minutes manquantes et quelques petits défauts d'enregistrements mais la vibes est là. Comme à mon habitude, j'ai choisi des morceaux aux couleurs cosmiques et solaires pour un début de set, puis des rythmes percussifs, breakés et trancy pour la fin... C'était le feu !

This week’s Local Selection comes from JUSTDYL, who melds deep and gritty dubby cuts with fluorescent Balearic sun-kissed grooves, toeing the line between glossy progressive house and head-down rave energy.

Hailing from North Dublin, JUSTDYL has been embedded in music culture since his early teens. Now 24, his decade-long involvement with DJing has shaped a sound that’s as instinctive as it is considered. A dedicated digger with an ear for detail, he’s spent years refining a style that moves fluidly across genre lines. Effortlessly weaving through progressive, techno, house and the spaces in between.

This mix is a snapshot of the club sound that resonates most with him. Playful, propulsive, and rich in progression. “I didn’t want to overthink it,” he says. “It’s just a sound I love, and something that reflects what I enjoy playing out.”

What results is a set that feels natural, intuitive, music for dancers and deep listeners alike. It bridges past and present with an ear turned toward movement, progression, and vibe. “I feel this mix represents a glimpse of some of the stuff I love to play while also capturing a progressive sound in music from the past.”
