Welcome to this Funky Vocal Soul Sister's special where you will be going on a soulful and funky journey through classic Disco, R&B, Soul, Funk and Rare Groove from the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's.

Containing reworked tracks from Chaka Khan, Grace Jones, Chic, Sade, Gwen McCrae, Crazy P and Roisin Murphy, expect a fun and uplifting ride through some sweet Rhythms.

Growing up with two sisters I was brought up on House and Disco as it made them both serenely happy, especially before a night out! I wanted to create a mix dedicated to my sisters and to all the Soul Sisters's out there grinding on a daily basis, doing what you believe in. Respect to you.

Chaka Khan Grace Jones CHIC Sade Gwen McCrae Crazy P Roisin Murphy Soul Sisters Nu Disco Mix WIL4

We played this set at the Eclipse Festival in Far North Queensland Australia.
We were lucky enough to be able to play on the Sky Stage, which was put together by the Bachstelzen Crew from Fusion Festival in Germany. Built in a dry river bed and with plenty of tree cover Sky Stage was a tropical oasis away from the hot and dusty conditions of the rest of the festival. I'd say it was the best Stage we have ever played on and our favourite set so far!

MoodMachine is Joel Kino and Ray Zed from Melbourne, Australia. Both Joel and Ray have been active in Melbourne’s electronic music scene for many years, both as DJs and producers. In 2009 they combined forces to form MoodMachine, a project aimed at fusing elements from genres such as; Deep House, Tech House, Techno, Nu Disco and anything that is funky and groovy. 

Recently back from playing LIVE at the awesome Bachstelzen stage and Germany’s famed Fusion Festival and a few club gigs in the home of Techno and House, Berlin, the boys are ready to drop some of their new material on the Australian crowds over the summer.

Both Joel and Ray have also DJ'ed across the globe in countries including; Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Israel, India, Thailand and Malaysia. MoodMachine had their debut release on Smash Bang Records in April 2011 and have released on a number of labels including Gem Records, Vapour and Bamboo. The MoodMachine sound is dynamic and constantly evolving, yet is able to stay underground and deep. 

They have played alongside artists including; D-Nox & Beckers, Gabe, Marcello V.O.R, Koze, Boris Brejcha, Heinrichs and Hirtenfellner, Antix/Fiord, SQL, Secret Cinema, Nico Stojan, Acid Pauli & NU, Peter Horrevorts, Egbert, Kasey Taylor, King Unique, Juan Atkins, Gabriel Ananda, DJ Pena, and at festivals such as Eclipse 2012, Rainbow Serpent, Strawberry Fields and Maitreya.
