A professional musician once advised me that when I encounter “writer’s block,” I should tinker with someone else’s song.  Well, it did not help with the “writer’s block” but, it made me feel as if I were a producer, I guess.  Tending to my own business, I walked into my music cave and decided to play around a bit.  My fingers produced a certain run which reminded me of this tune.  Then I thought, “Michel Martineau could really make this work...”

I am a songwriter/studio musician who plays the Piano/Keyboards primarily and secondarily drums and almost all World Percussion instruments (e.g. Indo/African, Latin, Southwest Asian, etc.) and bass.  I have many music sets with varying genres.  Although I am partial to Jazz (traditional); Bebop; Blues, Fusion, Latin/World and a mixture of the aforementioned, I occasionally dabble in R&B, Gospel/Inspirational; Funk, Rock, and various other music categories.  I also sing (although not very well).  My current in home studio setup consists of:
