WiscoJazz-Cast: Episode 242 [BEST OF 2025]

Sometimes we all got to stop for a minute and breathe.

This year I had to stop…

A perfect storm of personal shit hit me hard. So I stopped.

During this time, when to be honest I was a bit fucked, music of course was a big part of my recovery. Walking and listening to music was my salvation along with people being kind and of course nature. And doctors. And yoga and other stuff.

During this time my sense of many things was heightened as my mind and body had been thrown into full tilt.

Butterflies and flowers were so beautiful. Sunsets and sunrises blew my mind. Sleep was often absent or a mystery. My dreams were crazy and I had endless, powerful deja vu.

But I rested and I slowly recovered. And the music as always in my life was a big part of this process.

So I wanted to share with you all some of the music that saved my life.

I made the tracks I listened to non stop during this time into two parts blended together. 

I have called them Burnout because that’s what some call it.

My hope is that there is something in the music and the selections that is healing. And if anyone out there needs some help, a hand with something they are struggling with a soundtrack to rest and recover, well maybe this soundtrack can help them too the way it helped me.

Biggest love to all those nearest and dearest who helped me make it through the worst time in my life. You know who you are. I love you and dedicate this music to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart xxx
