Got pneumonia during my birthday month and was pretty annoyed about it. Had to cancel lessons, sell my Faith No More tickets, missed Psychostick, couldn't snowboard or surf! Still feeling pretty cruddy! Finally had to record something. This is what came out of it. I'm surprised it wasn't more obnoxious.

Sick Sux!

I recorded this track on the chairlift, snowboarding at Squaw Valley today. It's not the greatest song, but it's fun! I did the whole thing on my iPhone with GarageBand. I think I feel a concept CD coming on!

Did this one in a 1/2 hour, using only my ipad and an acoustic guitar used as a midi device to control everything other than the percussion tracks. Ipad+acoustic guitar=ready to rock!

Mellow MooL 2016

Recorded this with Garageband on my iPhone while sitting on the subway in NYC. Recorded it over the course of 4 subway rides while in NY for 9 days.

NYC Subway

Just got a new nylon string guitar in Spain. Only cost €140, but plays and sounds pretty good. I plugged it into Ableton Live and Midi Guitar. I'm using it to control the bass guitar and synth sound. The drum loop was from Looperman.com (thanks 'yunglampshade'). Little reverb on the guitar tracks, and slight bit of eq to remove a little low end hum from the guitar.

New Guitar España

Another late night, needed to disappear into the Land of Music. 20 minutes later this was what came out. Percussion and drums are loops. Everything else was played on my PRS McCarty guitar, using 'Midi Guitar 2' to control the synth sounds. Someday I'll do this with other musicians...until then I'll keep playing with myself😁

I did this song with a nylon string guitar that was brought up from a little village in Michoacan, Mexico and given to me as a gift by a student. The song won 'song of the day' on original 'garageband.com' website.

Reminds me of the theme song for one of my favorite movies, "Return of the Living Dead", starring Linea Quigley. Metal makes me happy!

My guitar is my best friend! I have been a music teacher and still give guitar lessons online. I have also done some work with sound therapy and I'm a Holistic Wellness Coach. Most of my music is improv, one take stuff. I play for me and love to share my music.
