Get to Know the Artist
How long have you been creating music?
SCAFETTA: I've been creating music for about 3 years now.

MR. FINK: I've been producing music for just about 2.5 years now. Before I got into production I was heavily into DJing back in 2011. Iíve been writing music since back in high school though when I wrote jazz music for saxophone.

What inspired you to write the track released with us?
SCAFETTA: I've been listening to your label since I started and always wanted to try to release a track on it and I'm excited that we finally achieved that goal.

MR. FINK: My inspiration for this track came from when I was living in Allentown and I experienced what's called sleep paralysis multiple times. This track was meant to encompass that feeling of being paralyzed head to toe and internally screaming to wake up while an ominous figure looms over you.

What do you use to make your music?
SCAFETTA: I use Ableton 9 suite edition, serum, ozone 8, lots of the stock plug ins, etc.

MR. FINK: My main tool for music production is Ableton Live. I do have a MIDI keyboard and guitars that I sometimes record in ideas but mostly what I write happens all within the DAW.

Where, and when, did you first discover Prime Audio?
SCAFETTA: 2016 when I first started listening to EDM. This label was shown to me by a friend and I fell in love instantly.

MR. FINK: I first came across Prime Audio while looking for new remix competitions. Shortly after entering one, Dave told me that Prime was interested in one of our tracks and after that I started checking out more content on the label and was really impressed with what I heard!

What are your current challenges as a producer/DJ?
SCAFETTA: Currently I throw shows as well to give local artists around Buffalo a chance to play, but eventually I want to build my name up to where I'm traveling state to state for gigs, (which is slowly happening now) :)

MR. FINK: My biggest challenge as a DJ/Producer is learning to balance my personal life with my professional life. I can get through writers block, depression, etc, but staying focused and driven and still having time for my family/loved ones can be trying. Other challenges I face are keeping up with the times and always expanding my resources. Also being open to new ideas takes discipline.

What are some things you are looking forward to this year?
SCAFETTA: Looking forward to the many releases I have with labels, as well as my out of state and out of country gigs.

MR. FINK: The things I look forward to most this year are building further connections in the industry as well as becoming a more established audio engineer. I'd like to eventually have top of the line equipment or access to a more professional studio in order to keep achieving a higher quality of sound. Also I'll be getting engaged and trying to plan a wedding at the same time.

Who would you say is your biggest inspiration?
SCAFETTA: Grabbitz and Wooli.

MR. FINK: This is a tough question because it's changed so drastically over the years. It went something like Avicii-Afrojack-Laidback Luke-Bassnectar-Flume but I would say Zeds Dead has been the longest standing inspiration.

What's one thing on your list you want to do before you die?
SCAFETTA: Skydive for sure.

MR. FINK: Pretty cliché, but I'd love to see the Grand Canyon. Or go to Burning Man.
