TMPLE debut on Moon Harbour with the fantastic Whispers EP, which excels across two tracks of deeply atmospheric house. 

Over the last few years, TMPLE has become a key part of the global house scene. They have served up scintillating sounds on influential labels like Circus and Knee Deep In Sound, exploring everything from dark and driving tech to melodic, moving house grooves. This EP shows another, masterfully musical side to his sound. 

First up here is 'Whispers' with its wispy late night synths, gentle hang drum harmonies and delicate percussion. There is melancholy in the chords and vulnerability in the vocals that make this a truly artful house track. The lush 'Rumba' is a more playful groove that will get early evening crowds going. It once again makes great use of the hang drum, this time having it dance over deep drums and warm bass with found sound recordings of a bustling party also weaved in. It's the sort of classy, well-executed track that transcends the dance floor. 

With their Whispers EP, TMPLE make an indelible impression.

Gareth Cole is the ambitious Brit who has been carving a name for himself as a purveyor of fine house and techno both as a producer and DJ. 

Here he signs up to Steve Bug’s Sublease Music for three slick and impactful slices of deep, techy house. First up is Signal, a low-slung groover with hypnoic keys, and a thick, rounded bottom end driving the track forward. 

On Courage, the energy is amped somewhat, with plenty of space thanks to the dubby, minimal production. 

Gareth notes “I was very inspired by music and DJ sets from Guy J - there is this sort of hypnotic groove which locks you into the vibe and music. I designed a really nice lead stab on Sylenth which is my go-to synth and it repeats during the majority of the tune and then other elements play around it to keep it interesting”. 

The final track is On The Edge, delving deep into Cole’s roots in techno - slowly building on the groove with extra elements to create a hypnotic, techy atmosphere sure to set dancefloors alight this summer.
